The New Patek Philippe Twenty~4 7340/1R Perpetual Calendar

Introduced in 1999, the Twenty~4 collection was Patek Philippe’s first dedicated line of feminine timepieces. The original model featured an Art Deco-inspired manchette (cuff) design, but in 2018, the brand unveiled the Twenty~4 Automatic, which is a round-cased iteration powered by an automatic movement. This year, Patek Philippe elevates the collection further by introducing a perpetual calendar complication, marking the collection's debut in the realm of Grand Complications.
Crafted entirely in 18K rose gold, the watch features a 36mm case with a slender profile of just 9.95mm, making it sit gracefully on the wrist. The case is meticulously finished with a combination of polished and brushed surfaces, enhancing its refined aesthetic. Two dial options are available. The Ref. 7340/1R-001 features a silvery opaline dial with a vertical satin finish, evoking the texture of shantung silk that feature irregular texture, while the Ref. 7340/1R-010 presents an olive green sunburst dial for a more contemporary appeal.

JC Biver

Jean-Claude Biver, a prominent figure in the watch industry, is a Luxembourg-born Swiss businessman, executive, and cheesemaker. He has had an illustrious career, serving as the chief executive officer (CEO) of TAG Heuer and later becoming the president of LVMH's watchmaking division until his retirement in 2018 after 43 years in the industry. His leadership has been credited with revitalizing several luxury watch brands.

One of the brands he has been associated with is Hublot, a Swiss luxury watchmaker. Since 2014, Biver has served as the chief executive, board member, and minority shareholder of Hublot. Under his guidance, Hublot has experienced success and growth in the luxury watch market.

Moreover, Biver has a track record of rejuvenating other renowned watch brands, such as Blancpain and Omega, both currently owned by the Swatch Group. His innovative approach and strategic vision have been instrumental in bringing these brands back to prominence.

 

As of 2022, Jean-Claude Biver is the chairman of JC Biver, a luxury watch manufacture based in Givrins, Switzerland. He co-launched this brand with his youngest son, Pierre Biver, who is also involved in the watchmaking business. This development solidifies Biver's status as a watch manufacturer in addition to his other roles in the industry.
