The New Patek Philippe Twenty~4 7340/1R Perpetual Calendar

Introduced in 1999, the Twenty~4 collection was Patek Philippe’s first dedicated line of feminine timepieces. The original model featured an Art Deco-inspired manchette (cuff) design, but in 2018, the brand unveiled the Twenty~4 Automatic, which is a round-cased iteration powered by an automatic movement. This year, Patek Philippe elevates the collection further by introducing a perpetual calendar complication, marking the collection's debut in the realm of Grand Complications.
Crafted entirely in 18K rose gold, the watch features a 36mm case with a slender profile of just 9.95mm, making it sit gracefully on the wrist. The case is meticulously finished with a combination of polished and brushed surfaces, enhancing its refined aesthetic. Two dial options are available. The Ref. 7340/1R-001 features a silvery opaline dial with a vertical satin finish, evoking the texture of shantung silk that feature irregular texture, while the Ref. 7340/1R-010 presents an olive green sunburst dial for a more contemporary appeal.

This watch will be auctioned at the TimeForArt auction at Phillips in New York City on December 7.

The watch comes 39mm With a thickness of 10mm and a lug to lug measurement of 47.55mm stainless steel case distinguished by its elegantly arched lugs and concave bezel, and its classic design is completed by an ornate crown engraved with the brand's logo. To enhance its design, the finishing techniques are intentionally varied, the tops and sides of the lugs and the case are polished to a brilliant shine, while the facets and bezel sport a brushed finish. Complementing the case is a sapphire crystal with an inner anti-reflective coating and a display caseback, all contributing to a water resistance of up to 80 meters.

The handmade enamel dial, crafted in collaboration with Guillaume Ehinger and inspired by his artwork, features a solid 18k white gold base that is intricately hand-engraved with a rippling pattern. This exquisite foundation is then layered with vibrant colored enamel, which sparkles like a lake at sunset, as hues of red, pink, and grey shift with the changing light. The hands of the watch are also made of 18k white gold, showcasing a satin finish and hand-beveled interior angles for added elegance.

The watch is powered by the Calibre JCB-003 automatic movement, which showcases a blend of artistic craftsmanship and precision engineering. While it features the distinctive Clou de Paris engraving, the 22k gold micro-rotor sets it apart with its unique engraving of the watch's name, "Echoes of this Moment," alongside Ehinger’s signature, echoing his artistic style. Operating at a frequency of 25,200 vph (3.5 Hz), this movement offers a robust 65-hour power reserve, with automatic winding facilitated by the bi-directional rotor and an additional hand-winding option via the crown.

It comes with a cotton and Alcantara strap and a stainless steel pin buckle.
