Unique timepiece for Doha jewelry and watches Exhibition
On the occasion of the twentieth edition of the Doha Jewelery and Watches Exhibition, which will be held from February 5 to 11, 2024, J.C. Beaver presented a unique watch in tribute to the rich cultural heritage and timeless traditions of the Arabian Peninsula, a watch with artistic skill that combines the most attractive and sophisticated craftsmanship in the world of manufacturing. Ports.
With a diameter of 42 mm and a thickness of 13.17 mm, this unique titanium watch offers a harmonious blend of elegance and innovation. The crown features the JCB logo. Both the front and back are protected by sapphire crystal, ensuring durability and clarity.
The essence of this exceptional timepiece is encapsulated in the dial, an exquisite masterpiece crafted from Coeur de Rubis, an extremely rare and challenging gemstone mineral. This material choice transcends mere aesthetic appeal, embodying a symbolic resonance deeply tied to Qatar's national identity. The vibrant hues of the dial, mirroring the Qatari flag, set the stage for the unfolding artistry. The stone's challenging nature, including its brittleness, required multiple attempts before achieving a finished product that meets the highest standards of excellence.
Central to this masterpiece is a singular piece of mother-of-pearl, serving as a delicate canvas to narrate stories deeply rooted in Qatari culture. It skillfully depicts a railway track and a moon phase, drawing inspiration from the phases of the moon in the Kitab al-Tafhim by Al-Biruni (973-1048 CE), underscoring the region's advanced scientific heritage predating modern watchmaking.
To enhance its bespoke elegance, the timepiece features a meticulously hand-engraved Saker Falcon in white gold. This falcon, embodying poise, speed, and precision, celebrates the Qatari tradition of falconry—a testament to the nation's profound relationship with these majestic birds.
This timepiece features a carillon-type minute repeater that comprises three gongs and hammers, adding a layer of complexity to its functionality. The automatic Caliber JCB.001 A is further enhanced by a platinum micro-rotor, while the micro-rotor’s decorative plate is crafted in rose gold. The plates is circular-grained on both sides, and the bridges, visible at the back, are made of white gold with a grained finish. The tourbillon is crowned with a white gold bridge, adding to its elegance. With 196 re-entrant angles, 44 jewels, and a 72-hour power reserve.
This is a unique piece, specially crafted for the Doha Jewellery & Watches Exhibition 2024, and it comes in Grey Alcantara leather. The leather strap is complemented by a Titanium pin buckle, while the price is available upon request.
