The Summit Collection: A Strong First Step for New Brand Earthen

Earthen Company is one of the freshest names to enter the watch market, founded in Hong Kong in 2025 by a group of passionate collectors and enthusiasts. Co-founder Jonathan Chan, also a key figure behind The Horology Club, explains that the team approached this project as collectors first, not as traditional watchmakers.

The result is a debut that doesn’t chase trends but instead offers something unique, a series of ceramic, field- and pilot-inspired watches at an accessible price point. With the launch of the Summit Collection, it’s clear Earthen intends to make an impression from day one.

Kurono Tokyo

Kurono Tokyo is a remarkable watchmaking brand founded by Hajime Asaoka, an independent watchmaker operating out of Japan. Asaoka's journey with Kurono Tokyo began when he realized the need to explore new horizons and set himself apart from the well-known Japanese watch brands such as Seiko, Grand Seiko, Casio, and Citizen. As a self-taught artisan, he had built a reputation for his exceptional craftsmanship, leading to an ever-growing waiting list due to his involvement in every aspect of watch production.

The uniqueness of Kurono Tokyo lies in Asaoka's commitment to infusing Swiss watchmaking traditions with traditional Japanese craft, resulting in one-of-a-kind timepieces that often involve collaborative efforts with clients. Prioritizing precision and attention to detail, each piece can take a year or more to complete, showcasing the dedication and artistry behind these creations.
