The Summit Collection: A Strong First Step for New Brand Earthen

Earthen Company is one of the freshest names to enter the watch market, founded in Hong Kong in 2025 by a group of passionate collectors and enthusiasts. Co-founder Jonathan Chan, also a key figure behind The Horology Club, explains that the team approached this project as collectors first, not as traditional watchmakers.

The result is a debut that doesn’t chase trends but instead offers something unique, a series of ceramic, field- and pilot-inspired watches at an accessible price point. With the launch of the Summit Collection, it’s clear Earthen intends to make an impression from day one.

Grand Seiko

Grand Seiko is a brand with a rich and well-known history that was founded in 1960. During the 1960s, the brand made significant advancements in watch design and manufacturing. They established their design philosophy and developed mechanical watches with exceptional accuracy.

In 1988, Grand Seiko achieved a significant milestone by introducing their first quartz watch. These quartz watches surpassed regular quartz timepieces in terms of performance and accuracy. The brand's pursuit of creating the ideal quartz watch led to the development of Caliber 9F83 in 1993, which incorporated key innovations and further enhanced quartz timekeeping technology.

Grand Seiko has introduced high-precision models that showcased their commitment to excellence in watchmaking. They have presented various hand-engraved dials, jewelry masterpieces, and slimmer, more precise movements. The brand's dedication to excellence in both mechanical and electronic watchmaking has earned them recognition and numerous awards.
