The New Patek Philippe Twenty~4 7340/1R Perpetual Calendar

Introduced in 1999, the Twenty~4 collection was Patek Philippe’s first dedicated line of feminine timepieces. The original model featured an Art Deco-inspired manchette (cuff) design, but in 2018, the brand unveiled the Twenty~4 Automatic, which is a round-cased iteration powered by an automatic movement. This year, Patek Philippe elevates the collection further by introducing a perpetual calendar complication, marking the collection's debut in the realm of Grand Complications.
Crafted entirely in 18K rose gold, the watch features a 36mm case with a slender profile of just 9.95mm, making it sit gracefully on the wrist. The case is meticulously finished with a combination of polished and brushed surfaces, enhancing its refined aesthetic. Two dial options are available. The Ref. 7340/1R-001 features a silvery opaline dial with a vertical satin finish, evoking the texture of shantung silk that feature irregular texture, while the Ref. 7340/1R-010 presents an olive green sunburst dial for a more contemporary appeal.

Introducing The New Grand Seiko 62GS Hi-Beat limited Edition

An exclusive timepiece featuring an amazing dial inspired by the Japanese city of Ginza

Grand Seiko has unveiled a special edition paying homage to its origin in Ginza, featuring a street map of the Tokyo district on its dial. Ginza holds great historical importance for both Grand Seiko and Seiko, as it was the location where Kintaro Hattori established his workshop in 1881. Today, the Ginza district remains the headquarters for the brand, housing Seiko's museum. In crafting this special edition, Grand Seiko drew inspiration from one of its cherished collections, the 62GS. Introduced in 1967, the 62GS marked a significant milestone as Grand Seiko's inaugural timepiece equipped with an automatic movement.

Coming in a classic 40mm stainless steel case inspired by the 62GS, it features a wealth of Zaratsu-polished components and a few brushed surfaces. The case has a thickness of 12.9mm and a length of 47mm. With almost no bezel, it is crowned by a box-shaped sapphire crystal, lending it an attractive retro charm. The screw-down crown enhances water resistance, rated at 100m.

This new Ginza-exclusive edition features a light purple dial with two different textures: a classic sunray-brushed pattern and the lineup’s Ginza grid pattern, executed in a more pronounced geometric manner. The dial is designed to capture the winter light of the tranquil streets of Ginza, while the grid pattern symbolizes the rows of buildings. The hour indices are applied, with a window at 3 o'clock displaying the date, while the polished and sharp three hands elegantly dance above.

Under the sapphire back, adorned with the brand’s lion logo and the Ginza inscription, lies the in-house caliber 9S85. Beating at 36,000 vibrations per hour, it boasts a 55-hour power reserve and is reported to have an accuracy of -3/+5 seconds per day.

This watch is worn on a 3-link stainless steel bracelet with a folding clasp. The Grand Seiko Heritage 62GS Hi-Beat SBGH317 is a limited edition of 530 pieces, exclusively available from six stores in Ginza. It is priced at EUR 4,860, which is equivalent to 19,600 AED.
