The New Patek Philippe Twenty~4 7340/1R Perpetual Calendar

Introduced in 1999, the Twenty~4 collection was Patek Philippe’s first dedicated line of feminine timepieces. The original model featured an Art Deco-inspired manchette (cuff) design, but in 2018, the brand unveiled the Twenty~4 Automatic, which is a round-cased iteration powered by an automatic movement. This year, Patek Philippe elevates the collection further by introducing a perpetual calendar complication, marking the collection's debut in the realm of Grand Complications.
Crafted entirely in 18K rose gold, the watch features a 36mm case with a slender profile of just 9.95mm, making it sit gracefully on the wrist. The case is meticulously finished with a combination of polished and brushed surfaces, enhancing its refined aesthetic. Two dial options are available. The Ref. 7340/1R-001 features a silvery opaline dial with a vertical satin finish, evoking the texture of shantung silk that feature irregular texture, while the Ref. 7340/1R-010 presents an olive green sunburst dial for a more contemporary appeal.

Speake Marin

Speake Marin is a prestigious watch brand based in the Neuchâtel area of Switzerland. It was founded by Peter Speake-Marin in 2002 in Bursins, Switzerland. The brand has gained recognition for its commitment to high-quality watchmaking and its pursuit of in-house manufacture movements.

In 2015, Speake Marin initiated a new movement strategy, leading to the development and assembly of in-house manufacture movements within its atelier in the Neuchâtel area. This strategic decision marked a significant milestone for the brand, allowing them to have more control over the watchmaking process and create timepieces that are exclusive to their brand.

The watchmakers at Speake Marin, based in the Neuchâtel region, play a crucial role in meticulously building and assembling the movements, adhering to Swiss watchmaking traditions that prioritize know-how and excellence. Creating a single timepiece involves around forty different skills, showcasing the diversity of talents required for the watchmaking process. From design and movement development to assembly and external parts decoration, the entire journey demands technical, design, manual, and artistic abilities.

Over the years, the brand has introduced various watch collections, each showcasing unique designs and technical features. Beyond watch production, Speake Marin has also been involved in various events and collaborations within the watchmaking industry. They participated in the ONLY WATCH charity auction and the Watches and Wonders Edition. Additionally, they collaborated with exclusive retailers like Ethos Ltd. to expand their reach and presence in new markets, including Norway.
