Introducing Louis Erard Launches the La Petite Seconde x 75th Anniversary Seddiqi

Honoring the Emirati Giant Ahmed Seddiqi’s 75 Years of Legacy

For nearly a century, Louis Erard has dared to approach Swiss watchmaking differently, building its name not by following the rules, but by confronting them head-on. By making artisanal craftsmanship more accessible, the brand has paved the way for remarkable collaborations with celebrated names such as Stefan KudokeAlain SilbersteinKonstantin Chaykin, and many more. Under the visionary leadership of Manuel Emch, Louis Erard has infused traditional Swiss engineering with bold design, carving out a fresh and fearless identity in the world of independent watchmaking.

Now, the brand celebrates the 75th anniversary of its UAE retail partner, Ahmed Seddiqi, with a limited edition release, the La Petite Seconde x 75th Anniversary Seddiqi. Since 1950, Seddiqi has played a pivotal role in shaping the horological culture of the region, introducing brands like Louis Erard to the Middle East and cultivating a refined appreciation for fine craftsmanship. This commemorative timepiece pays tribute to heritage, architecture, and artistic innovation, drawing inspiration from famous New York Art Deco and one of the world's most iconic landmarks, Burj Khalifa.

The watch features a 39mm polished stainless steel case with a thickness of 12.82mm. It retains Louis Erard’s signature “fir tree” crown which is inspired by the fir trees of the Jura Mountains where the brand is based. It also includes a domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both sides, and a transparent caseback that reveals the movement and bears the engraving “Limited Edition 1 of 75.” The case offers 50 meters of water resistance.

Bathed in warm copper tones, the dial brings nostalgia to vintage photography and classic cinema. Its layered construction includes a circular satin-brushed outer ring, a gadrooned central texture, and an azurage-finished small seconds subdial at 6 o’clock. The chapter ring features Eastern Arabic numerals, while the small seconds subdial is marked by a minimalist single dot at the 12 o’clock position. The polished hands, shaped in the image of Dubai’s Burj Khalifa, add a striking architectural touch.

Inside, the watch is powered by the Swiss automatic Sellita SW261-1 élaboré grade movement, operating at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz) with a power reserve of 38 hours. The open-worked rotor, visible through the caseback, is decorated with the black lacquered Louis Erard logo.

It comes with a grey-grained calf leather strap with tone-on-tone stitching and a contrasting black leather lining. It is secured with a polished stainless steel pin buckle and features quick-release spring bars for easy strap changes. This edition is limited to just 75 pieces, honoring Seddiqi’s 75-year legacy, and is priced at AED 11,900.
