The New Patek Philippe Twenty~4 7340/1R Perpetual Calendar

Introduced in 1999, the Twenty~4 collection was Patek Philippe’s first dedicated line of feminine timepieces. The original model featured an Art Deco-inspired manchette (cuff) design, but in 2018, the brand unveiled the Twenty~4 Automatic, which is a round-cased iteration powered by an automatic movement. This year, Patek Philippe elevates the collection further by introducing a perpetual calendar complication, marking the collection's debut in the realm of Grand Complications.
Crafted entirely in 18K rose gold, the watch features a 36mm case with a slender profile of just 9.95mm, making it sit gracefully on the wrist. The case is meticulously finished with a combination of polished and brushed surfaces, enhancing its refined aesthetic. Two dial options are available. The Ref. 7340/1R-001 features a silvery opaline dial with a vertical satin finish, evoking the texture of shantung silk that feature irregular texture, while the Ref. 7340/1R-010 presents an olive green sunburst dial for a more contemporary appeal.

First Look Hermès Revives the Arceau Le Temps Suspendu Edition

The French maison's famous time-stopping complication returns with a fresh design

Hermès first introduced the Le Temps Suspendu complication in its Arceau collection back in 2011. This unique mechanism allows the wearer, at the push of a button, to move the hour and minute hands to the 12 o’clock position, effectively pausing time. A second push of the button brings the hands back to display the actual current time.

Now, in 2025, and in celebration of the Watches & Wonders 2025, Hermès is reintroducing this exceptional complication within the Arceau collection, featuring a redesigned case, a reworked size, and a dial offered in three distinctive colourways.

The Hermès Arceau Le Temps Suspendu, which won the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) award for Best Men’s Watch in 2011, returns with an updated design that combines a contemporary aesthetic, a smaller case size, and vibrant new colours that breathe fresh life into this iconic creation.

Hermès’ Arceau Le Temps Suspendu (“Time Suspended”), which captured the top award in the GPHG Men's Watch category in 2011, now returns with an updated design, a smaller size, and a fresh palette of new colors.

The case, available in either rose or white gold, now comes in a 42 mm diameter , 1 mm smaller than the previous edition. Entirely polished and protected by sapphire crystal on both sides, it features the iconic asymmetrical lugs, which are also polished to perfection.

With the crown positioned at 2 o’clock for time setting, a press of the button at 9 o’clock sends the hour and minute hands to an “Stop” position just below 12, while the date hand disappears completely. Time is, quite literally, suspended. Press the button once more, and the hands return to the present moment, indicating the correct time and date.

The dial, offered in three captivating shades sunburst blue, brun désert, and rouge sellier features an openworked central section made of sapphire. This transparent centerpiece matches the dial color while offering a clear view of the movement beneath. The retrograde date display at 5 o’clock, adding a dynamic visual element.

As for the movement, the name carries a story, the “H” in the caliber designation stands for Hermès, while “1837” marks the year the maison was founded. The Hermès Caliber H1837 is an automatic movement manufactured exclusively for Hermès by Vaucher Manufacture Fleurier. Beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, it features a double-barrel architecture that provides a robust 50-hour power reserve. Completing the ensemble, the watch is paired with a leather straps option, staying true to Hermès’ heritage in fine leather craftsmanship. price upon request.
