The Summit Collection: A Strong First Step for New Brand Earthen

Earthen Company is one of the freshest names to enter the watch market, founded in Hong Kong in 2025 by a group of passionate collectors and enthusiasts. Co-founder Jonathan Chan, also a key figure behind The Horology Club, explains that the team approached this project as collectors first, not as traditional watchmakers.

The result is a debut that doesn’t chase trends but instead offers something unique, a series of ceramic, field- and pilot-inspired watches at an accessible price point. With the launch of the Summit Collection, it’s clear Earthen intends to make an impression from day one.

Ochs Und Junior

Ochs und Junior is a Swiss watch brand that stands out for its commitment to simplicity, reliability, and intelligent design. Founded in 2006 by Ludwig Oechslin, Beat Weinmann, and Kurt König, the company focuses on creating watches with a reduced number of mechanical parts.

The brand offers a range of collections, including astronomy, calendar, and time, each with its own unique features. In the astronomy collection, Ochs und Junior showcases highly accurate moon phase displays that remain precise for an astonishing 3478.27 years. The calendar watches feature innovative complications, while the time collection emphasizes minimalism and precise timekeeping.

What sets Ochs und Junior apart is its commitment to customization. Customers can individually design their watches through a configurator on the company's website, allowing for a personalized timepiece that reflects their style and preferences.

As a family-owned business, Ochs und Junior is currently owned by Dr. Ludwig Oechslin and Prof. Kornelia Imesch. The brand operates on a smaller scale, producing a limited number of watches per year, which ensures meticulous attention to detail and craftsmanship.
