Introduced in 1999, the Twenty~4 collection was Patek Philippe’s first dedicated line of feminine timepieces. The original model featured an Art Deco-inspired manchette (cuff) design, but in 2018, the brand unveiled the Twenty~4 Automatic, which is a round-cased iteration powered by an automatic movement. This year, Patek Philippe elevates the collection further by introducing a perpetual calendar complication, marking the collection's debut in the realm of Grand Complications.
Crafted entirely in 18K rose gold, the watch features a 36mm case with a slender profile of just 9.95mm, making it sit gracefully on the wrist. The case is meticulously finished with a combination of polished and brushed surfaces, enhancing its refined aesthetic. Two dial options are available. The Ref. 7340/1R-001 features a silvery opaline dial with a vertical satin finish, evoking the texture of shantung silk that feature irregular texture, while the Ref. 7340/1R-010 presents an olive green sunburst dial for a more contemporary appeal.
Honoring the Massey Shaw London Fire Brigade boat that saved over 600 lives during WWII
In 2017, Jonny Garrett established William Wood Watches with the vision of creating British design watches using upcycled firefighting materials. The brand is named after Garrett's late grandfather, William Wood, who served in the British Fire Service for 25 years and received commendations for his bravery. William retired in 1982, leaving a profound impact on his colleagues and grandson. His legacy continues through the distinctive watches of the brand.
For its latest release, the brand is introducing the Dunkirk, made in collaboration with the London Fire Brigade Fire Boat (the Massey Shaw). The watch honors the vessel that saved over 600 lives off the beaches of Dunkirk during World War II. The watch features a genuine piece of the boat engine used in the Dunkirk Evacuation, known as Operation Dynamo, displayed on its caseback.

The case is crafted from CuSn8 grade bronze and features a brushed finish on the sides and lugs. It measures 42mm in diameter, and 13mm in thickness. The side of the case is adorned with red piping, inspired by the engine room of the Massey Shaw boat. The back of the Dunkirk Watch showcases a matte black caseback ring with an illustration depicting the iconic scene of Operation Dynamo on the beaches of Dunkirk in 1940.

The standout feature of the Dunkirk is its unique dial design, inspired by the twin telegraphs found in the boat’s wheelhouse. These devices were used on ships for the pilot on the bridge to instruct engineers in the engine room on the vessel’s desired speed. The dial employs beige Super-LumiNova to evoke the look of a 1940s watch. "STOP" and "LONDON", at 6 and 12 o’clock illuminate in red on the dial, matching the Massey telegraphs. Even the skeletonized hands are designed to resemble the indicators on the Massey Shaw’s wheelhouse telegraph.
The watch is powered by the Sellita SW200-1, an automatic watch that operates at 28,800 vph (4Hz) and offers 38 hours of power reserve. It is limited to 600 pieces only, and comes with a rubber strap made from upcycled firefighting jackets from the UK Fire & Rescue Service, it features quick-release spring bars, and a bronze pin buckle. The new Dunkirk watch is priced at EUR 3,995, equivalent to AED 19,073.
