A limited edition with a stunning damascus titanium dial
Venezianico may be a relatively young name in the market, but it gathered a fan base that appreciated the blend of Italian creativity and Swiss precision. Based in Venice, the brand draws inspiration from its maritime heritage most notably the Italian Royal Navy Nereide submarine, a technological marvel from the early 20th-century. Since its founding in 2017, Venezianico has become known for its bold use of materials and modern reinterpretations of classic designs, delivering watches that feel both contemporary and timeless.
In its latest releases, the brand is launching the Nereide Ti-Damascus, a compelling fusion of avant-garde material science and centuries-old craftsmanship. Inspired by the ancient art of damascening, a technique used by Mediterranean armorers to forge patterned steel blades, the new model features a dial made from layered Damascus titanium, treated with fire to create vibrant, one-of-a-kind colorations.
The 316L stainless steel case of the watch measures 42mm in diameter, with a lug-to-lug distance of 49mm and a total thickness of 12.5mm. The bezel insert is made of polished tungsten, known for its scratch resistance and high hardness, rated 9 out of 10 on the Mohs scratch resistance scale. A screw-fixed exhibition caseback offers a clear view of the movement inside. The case offers water-resistant to 200 meters.

What truly defines the Nereide Ti-Damascus is its Damascus titanium dial. Crafted from a 0.4mm precision-cut layer of the alloy laid over a brass base, and the surface undergoes a heat treatment. Controlled flame oxidation produces hues ranging from gold and copper to electric blue and purple, each dial is entirely unique, with no two watches ever sharing the same pattern. The dial features a date window at 3 o’clock, with hands and indices coated in BGW9 Super-LumiNova, ensuring readability in low light.
Powering the watch is the Sellita SW200-1, an automatic movement that beats at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz) and provides a power reserve of 38 hours. A standout detail is the skeletonized rotor, developed in-house and decorated with radial Côtes de Genève and anglage finishing. Finished in purple IP to echo the tones of the dial, the rotor reinforces the timepiece’s overall visual harmony.
The Nereide Ti-Damascus comes with a steel bracelet, and is a limited edition of 500 pieces. The watch is currently available for pre-order at €1,075, approximately AED 4,650 a discounted rate from its regular retail price of €1,295, which is approximately AED 5,600.
