A Diving Watch Featuring a Natural Green Malachite Dial
One of the standout collections from the Italian brand “Venezianico”, the “Nereide” collection, perfectly blends luxurious design with superior performance. Since its debut in 2019, Nereide has garnered widespread acclaim among watch enthusiasts worldwide, embodying the craftsmanship and excellence that Italian watchmaking is known for. The collection is not only a high-performance diver's watch but also a statement of elegance, seamlessly combining deep water resistance with contemporary, stylish design. Rooted in the rich cultural heritage of Italy, Nereide reflects the artistry and precision that define Italian tradition. The brand has released several versions of this collection, with the most notable being the "Nereide Aureo" watch, featuring a gold-treated dial. Today, we will showcase the brand's latest release from the same collection: the "Nereide Malachite" watch, which features a striking natural dial. This new model marks the brand's first release of the year.
The watch comes in a stainless steel case with a polished tungsten bezel, marked with numerals, and measures 42 mm in diameter and 12.5 mm in thickness. The dial is protected by a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating. The Nereide submariner, which inspired the entire collection, is engraved at the center of the case back, depicted submerged. This engraving serves as a reminder of the watch's exceptional underwater performance, with a 200 meter water resistance enabled by the screw-down crown, which is protected by side guards.
Featuring a natural green malachite dial, each piece in this collection is one-of-a-kind. The dial is adorned with a green ring along its edges, a white-printed minute track, and polished indexes coated with SuperLumiNova. The hour, minute, and second hands are also coated with this luminous material. And the date window is positioned at 3 o’clock.
The watch is powered by the Sellita calibre SW200-1, an automatic movement that operates at 28,800 vph(4Hz) and offers a 41-hour power reserve. It comes with a five-link bracelet, featuring two polished links and three satin-finished links, and secured with a folding clasp. This watch is limited to just 500 pieces, and priced at EUR 1,035, approximately AED 4,200.
