The brand’s third collaboration with the U.S. based nonprofit organization “One More Wave”
For nearly two centuries, the Swiss watchmaker Ulysse Nardin has been recognized as a supplier of marine chronometers to naval fleets. This seafaring heritage remains an anchor for the brand, which continues to fuse bold innovation with practical performance, especially in its diving watches.
The Diver is one of the brand’s most iconic collections, famously introducing the lightest mechanical diving watch in the world with the Diver [AIR]. The latest addition to this collection is the Diver X Skeleton One More Wave, a limited-edition timepiece created in partnership with One More Wave, a U.S.-based non-profit that provides surf therapy to wounded and disabled veterans. This marks the third collaboration between the two since their relationship began in 2018, built on mutual respect and a shared commitment to service.
The watch is housed in a 44mm black DLC-coated titanium case, built for serious use while remaining light on the wrist. The 15.7mm-thick case features a concave unidirectional bezel made from Carbonium, an advanced material crafted from upcycled aerospace carbon fiber, each with a unique marbled texture. Sandblasted and brushed finishes enhance the case’s aesthetics.
Despite its skeletonized architecture, the watch maintains a robust water resistance of 200 meters. The open sapphire crystal caseback offers a second look into the movement and features the One More Wave trident logo, a tribute to the cause it supports.
The black PVD skeleton dial is centered around an open-worked “X” motif, a signature of the Diver X collection. This framework is both aesthetic and architectural, revealing the mechanics beneath. The hands are filled with turquoise Super-LumiNova, while the indices and seconds hand glow in grey, offering a bold, legible contrast against the dark backdrop. The barrel cover at 12 o’clock is also crafted from Carbonium.
Powering the watch is the manufacture calibre UN-372, an automatic movement that operates at a frequency of 21,600 vph (3 Hz) and delivers a 72-hour power reserve. It incorporates cutting-edge silicon components, including the escapement wheel, anchor, balance spring, and oversized balance wheel, all produced in-house. These materials enhance longevity, resist magnetism, and ensure exceptional accuracy.
The grey rubber strap integrates seamlessly with the case, designed for both comfort and performance. At 6 o’clock, a black ceramic insert displays the turquoise One More Wave logo. The strap is secured with a deployant buckle made from black ceramic and black PVD titanium. The watch is limited to just 50 pieces and is priced at USD 30,600, approximately AED 112,400.
