The Summit Collection: A Strong First Step for New Brand Earthen

Earthen Company is one of the freshest names to enter the watch market, founded in Hong Kong in 2025 by a group of passionate collectors and enthusiasts. Co-founder Jonathan Chan, also a key figure behind The Horology Club, explains that the team approached this project as collectors first, not as traditional watchmakers.

The result is a debut that doesn’t chase trends but instead offers something unique, a series of ceramic, field- and pilot-inspired watches at an accessible price point. With the launch of the Summit Collection, it’s clear Earthen intends to make an impression from day one.

Introducing Tudor Unveils the Black Bay 54 Lagoon Blue

A new take on the iconic diving watch with summer inspired aesthetic

Since launching the Black Bay collection in 2012, Tudor has grown into a powerhouse with a distinct identity, thanks to its in-house calibres and bold design choices. One such bold move came in 2023 with the introduction of the Black Bay 54, a dive watch distilled down to 37mm, reminiscent of Tudor’s first dive watch from 1954. For 2025, Tudor injects a burst of color and character into this compact diver. Meet the Black Bay 54 Lagoon Blue, a watch that blends the classic form of its predecessor with a splash of summer-ready flair.

The watch maintains the original’s sleek proportions, with a 37mm diameter, 11.24mm thickness, and 46mm lug-to-lug length. The case is crafted from stainless steel, balancing brushed surfaces with polished bevels. The most noticeable update is the mirror-polished steel bezel insert, featuring a tone-on-tone 60-minute scale.

As expected from Tudor’s diver pedigree, the watch features a screw-down crown, a screwed caseback, and water resistance to 200 meters. It’s every bit a serious dive watch, just dressed differently for the season.

This version introduces a sand-like textured blue dial that plays beautifully with the light. It retains the hallmark Snowflake hands and applied indices, all rendered in polished metal and filled with white Super-LumiNova for high legibility. The minute track and dial text are printed in a darker shade of blue.

Powering the watch is the Calibre MT5400, developed by the Kenissi manufacture. This automatic movement beats at 28,800 vph (4Hz) and offers a robust 70-hour power reserve. It features a non-magnetic silicon hairspring, and a transversal balance bridge that is designed to provide enhanced stability to the balance wheel. It’s also COSC-certified, with an accuracy tolerance of -2/+4 seconds per day.

Another notable upgrade is the five-link Jubilee-style stainless steel bracelet, replacing the previous riveted three-link version. It brings added shine and comfort and is equipped with Tudor’s T-Fit micro-adjustment clasp, allowing for 8mm of on-the-fly sizing. The watch is priced at CHF 3,900, approximately AED 16,510.
