The New Patek Philippe Twenty~4 7340/1R Perpetual Calendar

Introduced in 1999, the Twenty~4 collection was Patek Philippe’s first dedicated line of feminine timepieces. The original model featured an Art Deco-inspired manchette (cuff) design, but in 2018, the brand unveiled the Twenty~4 Automatic, which is a round-cased iteration powered by an automatic movement. This year, Patek Philippe elevates the collection further by introducing a perpetual calendar complication, marking the collection's debut in the realm of Grand Complications.
Crafted entirely in 18K rose gold, the watch features a 36mm case with a slender profile of just 9.95mm, making it sit gracefully on the wrist. The case is meticulously finished with a combination of polished and brushed surfaces, enhancing its refined aesthetic. Two dial options are available. The Ref. 7340/1R-001 features a silvery opaline dial with a vertical satin finish, evoking the texture of shantung silk that feature irregular texture, while the Ref. 7340/1R-010 presents an olive green sunburst dial for a more contemporary appeal.

Introducing Toledano & Chan Released its First Watch, The B/1

Part 70s and part brutalist architecture inspired timepiece

The B/1 watch is the product of Toledano & Chan, a new brand launched by Alfred Chan, a watch designer, and Phil Toledano, an artist and watch collector. They connected on Instagram over their mutual interest in “brutalist architecture” and 1970s watches, and started brainstorming ideas together.

Their design drew from two main influences: the Rolex Midas and early 1970s integrated bracelet watches; and, more prominently, the work of brutalist architect Marcel Breuer, particularly the window design of his Whitney Museum building in New York. The resulting watch is a fusion of these inspirations. As the brand describes it, "part 70s watch, part brutalist architecture, entirely new."

Crafted from stainless steel, the B1 has a distinctive angled case with a width of 33.5mm and a thickness of 9.10mm. The watch is designed as a "destro" model, meaning the crown is positioned on the left side, catering to those who prefer to wear their watch on their right wrist.  The B1 features a sapphire crystal, and a closed caseback ensuring 50m of water resistance.

One of the standout features of the B1 is its lapis lazuli dial. This deep blue stone creates a beautiful backdrop without any markers or branding, allowing the natural beauty of the stone to shine through. The watch is powered by Sellita SW100 automatic movement, operating at 28,800 vph and providing 42 hours of power reserve.

The bracelet is a notable element of the B1, made from stainless steel. It consists of a series of parallel links with intricate facets and angles, designed to complement the angular lines of the case.  The B1 is limited to 175 numbered pieces available for purchase starting May 16, priced at USD 4,000, equivalent to  AED 14,911.
