Elegant releases with beautiful dials at an accessible price
Tissot has always been known for offering affordable, everyday timepieces that make the world of watches accessible to everyone. For many enthusiasts, the brand’s iconic PRX was their first step into the hobby, thanks to its beautiful sporty design and approachable price. Another notable collection from the brand is the Le Locle, which debuted in 2003 to celebrate Tissot’s 150th anniversary. With its signature clous de Paris-patterned dial and classic Roman numerals, the Le Locle has captured the hearts of enthusiasts looking for a perfect blend of tradition and style.

The brand kicks off 2025 by adding two new models to this collection: the Le Locle Powermatic 80, available in either a green or a silver dial. Both watches feature a 316L stainless steel case, measuring 39.30 mm in diameter and 9.75 mm in thickness. However the silver dial variant has a rose gold bezel. The dial is protected by a sapphire crystal, and the cases are equipped with a see-through caseback, allowing for a glimpse of the movement inside.

Starting with the green dial, which is the first to be offered in this size, it features the signature Clous de Paris central dial with applied Roman numerals, as mentioned earlier. The silver dial, on the other hand, shares the same pattern but is distinguished by gold-colored Roman hands and indices. Both models include a date window at 3 o’clock.

Both watches are powered by the automatic Powermatic 80 movement, which, as the name suggests, offers an impressive 80-hour power reserve and operates at a frequency of 21,600 vph (4Hz). Each model is paired with a stainless steel bracelet featuring a butterfly clasp for a secure and refined fit. The green dial variant is priced at $675, equivalent to AED 2,450, while the silver dial variant is priced at $1,775, equivalent to AED 6,520.
