The Summit Collection: A Strong First Step for New Brand Earthen

Earthen Company is one of the freshest names to enter the watch market, founded in Hong Kong in 2025 by a group of passionate collectors and enthusiasts. Co-founder Jonathan Chan, also a key figure behind The Horology Club, explains that the team approached this project as collectors first, not as traditional watchmakers.

The result is a debut that doesn’t chase trends but instead offers something unique, a series of ceramic, field- and pilot-inspired watches at an accessible price point. With the launch of the Summit Collection, it’s clear Earthen intends to make an impression from day one.

Introducing The Roger Dubuis Excalibur Monotourbillon Dr. Woo Episode III

A limited edition in collaboration with tattoo artist Dr. Woo

Roger Dubuis has built a reputation on technical prowess, and a penchant for collaborations that defy tradition. Since its founding in 1995, the brand has made waves in haute horlogerie with skeletonized calibers, avant-garde materials, and a fearless attitude toward creative expression.

One of its most daring collaborative journeys began in 2021 with renowned tattoo artist Dr. Woo. This ongoing partnership has produced some of the Maison’s most visually and philosophically rich timepieces. The saga now continues with the Excalibur Monotourbillon Dr. Woo Episode III, a watch inspired by the cosmic ballet of the Whirlpool Galaxy and limited to just 28 pieces.

The watch comes in a 42mm case crafted from a rare bi-colour combination of 18K pink gold and titanium, balancing opulence with lightweight performance. Subtle artistry extends to the bracelet and bezel, which are laser-engraved with Dr. Woo’s cryptic design language, symbols meant to be interpreted by the wearer alone. The caseback features a spiral black hole motif treated with black coloring and selective metallization, along with an engraved cosmic message, “Let’s work together to uncover the mysteries of the cosmos…”

Roger Dubuis and Dr. Woo turn the dial into a multi-layered canvas. A rocket motif appears on the sapphire crystal, created through 3D galvanic growth and pink gold metallization, with its trail spelling out the words “We Come in Peace.” At 10 o’clock, Dr. Woo’s signature spider is laser-engraved and ink-filled in black. Nearby at 9 o’clock, three nebulas are rendered in pink gold. Between 10 and 11 o’clock, a spiral-shaped stainless steel component marks the symbolic gateway to a black hole.

Powering the watch is the automatic calibre RD515, which houses a flying tourbillon at 7 o’clock. For this edition, the tourbillon’s upper bridge has been redesigned as a minimal three-arm spiral, echoing the form of the Whirlpool Galaxy. The movement delivers a 72-hour power reserve and bears the Poinçon de Genève hallmark, with each of its 193 components hand-finished using 16 distinct decorative techniques.

The integrated bracelet mirrors the bi-colour case, combining pink gold and titanium, and is equipped with a Quick Release System for added versatility and comfort. Its middle links also feature Dr. Woo’s enigmatic symbols. This cosmic creation is limited to just 28 pieces, available exclusively upon request.
