A classic trio inspired by traditional Japanese silk craftsmanship
The Presage collection combines Japanese aesthetics with traditional craftsmanship and Seiko’s mechanical watchmaking expertise in an original line that offers beauty, quality, and long-lasting performance. This year, the brand expands the collection with the new “Edo Silk” trio: SPB521, SPB523, and SPB524.
The watch features a 36mm stainless steel case with a thickness of 12.5mm. It is characterized by curved lugs, a polished bezel, and a conical crown. A domed sapphire crystal tops the case, which offers a water resistance of 100 meters.

The dial design draws inspiration from traditional Japanese silk crafts and is paired with colorways rooted in the Edo period (1603–1868), a time of peace, stability, and economic growth in Japan. The variations include Aijiro pale blue (SPB521), Fushi-iro gradient light brown (SPB523), and Shiro-iro white (SPB524), the latter housed in a gold PVD-coated case. Each dial is free from date windows and features polished alpha-shaped hands and baton indices.
Powering the watches is the new in-house calibre 6R51, an automatic movement based on the 6R55 but without a date complication. It beats at 21,600 vph (3 Hz) and delivers a 72-hour power reserve. The watch comes fitted with a 7-link bracelet composed of short, rounded links for a comfortable fit, secured by a triple-fold clasp with push-button release. The SPB524 stands out further with its bracelet finished in matching gold PVD.
