Two releases with a beautiful green dial, with or without a date window
In 2020, Nivada Grenchen marked its triumphant return to the watch industry, bringing back some of its most beloved collections. Among these, the Antarctic series made a strong comeback, followed by new versions like the Super Antarctic and Antarctic Spider. The brand also introduced the Antarctic GMT. Originally launched in 1950, the Antarctic was the first waterproof automatic watch produced by Nivada Grenchen, and it quickly gained popularity among the American Navy for its reliability and durability.
2023 saw the re-release of one of its earliest diving models, the Nivada Grenchen Antarctic Diver, in a sleek black dial version. This year, the brand has added a fresh twist to the collection with the introduction of a stunning green dial.
The case is crafted from 316L stainless steel, featuring a mix of brushed and polished surfaces for a refined look. A domed sapphire crystal protects the dial, while the unidirectional rotating bezel, adorned with a black ceramic insert, provides practical functionality with its 60-minute scale. With a case diameter of 38mm and a thickness of 12.9mm, the watch offers a balanced and versatile fit, with a screw-down crown and a secure steel-screwed back to further ensure 200 meter water resistance.

Green dials are becoming increasingly popular for its contemporary aesthetic, some even suggesting that green may be the new black. The dial is available in both date and no-date configurations, with applied and painted markers filled with Super-LumiNova to ensure visibility in low-light conditions.
Powering the watch is the Soprod P024 automatic movement, a reliable movement based on the ETA 2824-2, operating at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz) and providing a power reserve of 38 hours. The watch comes with a range of strap options or a steel bracelet, offering versatility to suit personal style preferences. The Nivada Grenchen Antarctic Diver Green is priced at USD 995, approximately AED 3,700.
