Celebrating the Swiss brand’s 15th anniversary with an elegant release
Laurent Ferrier is a brand that embodies the essence of traditional Swiss watchmaking, fused with contemporary innovation. Founded in 2008 by Laurent Ferrier, a veteran with over four decades of experience in haute horology, the brand is known for its refined craftsmanship, elegance, and mechanical excellence. Each creation reflects a deep respect for classic watchmaking while incorporating modern advancements to enhance precision.
To mark its 15th anniversary, Laurent Ferrier looks back on one of its most emblematic timepieces with the introduction of the Classic Traveller Globe Night Blue. This latest iteration pays homage to the original Galet Traveller Globe Night Blue from 2016 while introducing a newly designed enamel dial.
The case is crafted from 18k white gold, measuring 41mm in diameter and maintains a slim profile with a thickness of 12.64mm, offering a balanced wrist presence. The case is adorned with a domed sapphire crystal and a transparent caseback, allowing an unobstructed view of the intricate movement within. The “ball-shaped” crown, also made from 18k white gold, ensures a good grip when setting the time.
The dial features a stunning three-dimensional intricate enamel work. The spherical center of the dial is made from 18k white gold and showcases a convex planisphere depicting the five continents. Using the champlevé enameling technique, the continents are rendered in opaque blue enamel with specks of gold to replicate the glow of city lights at night. Surrounding this globe is a slate grey brushed hour ring, with polished drop-shaped indices in 18k white gold. The dial also features a bevelled date aperture at 3 o’clock and a bevelled dual time zone aperture at 9 o’clock. The dial is equipped with polished, curved, and “Assegai-shaped”(light spear) hands in 18k white gold.
Powering the watch is the LF 230.02 automatic calibre, a movement that features an off-centered micro-rotor in 18k solid gold. Operating at a frequency of 21,600 vph (3Hz), and offers 72-hours of power reserve. Additionally, the movement is decorated with rhodium-plated Côtes de Genève finishing, circular graining, hand-beveled edges, and hand-polished screw heads, hallmarks of Laurent Ferrier’s commitment to haute horlogerie.

The timepiece is fitted with a grey Nubuck leather strap, hand-stitched with tone-on-tone topstitching and lined with Alcantara. Wearers have the option of securing the watch with either an 18k white gold pin buckle or a double-blade folding clasp. The watch joins the brand’s permanent collection, at a price of CHF 90,000, which is approximately equivalent to AED 365,900.
