The New Patek Philippe Twenty~4 7340/1R Perpetual Calendar

Introduced in 1999, the Twenty~4 collection was Patek Philippe’s first dedicated line of feminine timepieces. The original model featured an Art Deco-inspired manchette (cuff) design, but in 2018, the brand unveiled the Twenty~4 Automatic, which is a round-cased iteration powered by an automatic movement. This year, Patek Philippe elevates the collection further by introducing a perpetual calendar complication, marking the collection's debut in the realm of Grand Complications.
Crafted entirely in 18K rose gold, the watch features a 36mm case with a slender profile of just 9.95mm, making it sit gracefully on the wrist. The case is meticulously finished with a combination of polished and brushed surfaces, enhancing its refined aesthetic. Two dial options are available. The Ref. 7340/1R-001 features a silvery opaline dial with a vertical satin finish, evoking the texture of shantung silk that feature irregular texture, while the Ref. 7340/1R-010 presents an olive green sunburst dial for a more contemporary appeal.

Introducing The New American Brand Fleming, Unveils Its First Collection

Series 1, Embodying the Ambition of Young Thomas Fleming to Establish His Own Independent Brand

Fleming is a new rising star in high-end watches, founded by Thomas Fleming, a 27-year-old with a deep passion for luxury timepieces. This half Norwegian-American young collector began dreaming of creating his own brand during the pandemic.

The brand, based in the United States and crafted in Switzerland, leverages the expertise of prominent Swiss companies. Thomas Fleming's debut collection, the Series 1, features three different materials and various dial designs.

The Fleming Series 1 is a time-only dress watch, inspired by traditional watchmaking. The American company aims to showcase its own unique style and personality. The case measures 38.5mm in diameter and 9mm in thickness, available in three materials: tantalum, rose gold, and platinum.

The case is composed of three parts, featuring brushed top and bottom surfaces, a polished case band, and a skeletonized opening in horn-shaped lugs. The flat bezel and alternating polished and brushed finishes further enhance its character.

The unique skeletonized opening, multiple facets, and elongated yet curved design of the lugs ensure a comfortable fit on any wrist. The cases are crafted by Efteor, a highly respected Swiss company known for producing cases for high-end watchmakers.

While other Fleming Series 1 models feature exquisite guilloché, these hand-decorated dials are crafted at Comblémine, owned by master watchmaker Kari Voutilainen.

The rose gold watch showcases a mix of hand-hammering on the inner dial and running seconds subdial, complemented by a hand-guillochéd outer ring. The platinum model's dial is entirely adorned with hand-turned guilloché. The tantalum version, however, presents something even more sublime, a dial combining frosted platinum and dark blue aventurine. These matte finishes contrast beautifully with the polished indices and hands which echo the shape of the lugs. The minute railtrack surrounding the dial is white for the tantalum and platinum editions to match the silver color of the case, and golden for the rose gold edition.

The Fleming Series 1 is powered by the hand-wound FM-01 caliber, developed in collaboration with master watchmaker Jean-François Mojon and his company Chronode. This movement features twin barrels, enabling a seven-day power reserve and operates at 21,600 Vph (3 Hz).

The elegantly finished movement is visible through the transparent case back. The ratchet wheels on top of the barrels each feature the Fleming motif. Additionally, the power reserve indicator is located on the top right of the movement, while the frosted bridges have hand-polished chamfers.

The Fleming Series 1 Launch Edition comes with alligator leather straps and a pin buckle that echoes the design of the case lugs.

This series is a limited edition, comprising 9 pieces in platinum, 7 pieces in pink gold, and 25 pieces in tantalum. The prices are CHF 51,500 for the platinum model equivalent to 213,000 AED, CHF 48,500 for the pink gold model, equivalent to 200,500 AED, and CHF 45,500 for the tantalum model, equivalent to 188,200 AED.
