The New Patek Philippe Twenty~4 7340/1R Perpetual Calendar

Introduced in 1999, the Twenty~4 collection was Patek Philippe’s first dedicated line of feminine timepieces. The original model featured an Art Deco-inspired manchette (cuff) design, but in 2018, the brand unveiled the Twenty~4 Automatic, which is a round-cased iteration powered by an automatic movement. This year, Patek Philippe elevates the collection further by introducing a perpetual calendar complication, marking the collection's debut in the realm of Grand Complications.
Crafted entirely in 18K rose gold, the watch features a 36mm case with a slender profile of just 9.95mm, making it sit gracefully on the wrist. The case is meticulously finished with a combination of polished and brushed surfaces, enhancing its refined aesthetic. Two dial options are available. The Ref. 7340/1R-001 features a silvery opaline dial with a vertical satin finish, evoking the texture of shantung silk that feature irregular texture, while the Ref. 7340/1R-010 presents an olive green sunburst dial for a more contemporary appeal.

Introducing The Laine P37 with Beautiful Guilloché Dials

Five new releases featuring the brand’s smallest case and reimagined Peseux 7001 caliber

Few stories in watchmaking stand out quite like that of Torsti Laine. Unlike many of his contemporaries, Laine is not the heir to a lineage of watchmakers; in fact, his journey began in the field of computer science. Yet, it is this unconventional foundation that has allowed him to blend modern technology with the artistry of traditional watchmaking, creating timepieces that are both innovative and timeless.

Since founding his eponymous brand, Laine, he has established his presence in La Chaux-de-Fonds, the cradle of Swiss watchmaking nestled in the Jura Mountains. He honed his craft alongside renowned icons such as A. Lange & Söhne in Germany and Kari Voutilainen in Switzerland, earning a reputation for his exceptional hand-turned guilloché dials. Now, the brand unveils the Laine P37, its smallest creation to date, available in five striking variants.

The new releases feature a polished stainless steel case with a diameter of 37 mm and a thickness of 8 mm, offering a sleek and refined profile. They are water-resistant to 50 meters and equipped with a double-domed sapphire crystal on the front and a flat sapphire crystal on the back, both treated with anti-reflective coating for optimal clarity.

The dials of the new Laine P37 collection are offered in a variety of guilloché patterns and hues, with either Arabic numerals or an index layout. Despite their differences, all models share a classic small seconds subdial at 6 o’clock.

The Salmon Spider features a traditional salmon-colored dial adorned with a hand-turned guilloché pattern, paired with blued steel hands for a harmonious design. The Ocean Blue Diamond showcases a unique shade of blue, lighter and grayer, reminiscent of the cold ocean sea, enhanced by a diamond guilloché pattern, and cut on a 110-year-old, hand-operated guilloché machine.

The Sky Blue Twill offers a pale sky-blue dial with a delicate twill weave pattern, cut using a vintage straight-line engine, and accented with white gold numerals and dot markers. The Murasaki Flame captivates with its innovative blue-purple hue, which shifts from deep blue when viewed head-on to vibrant purple at an angle. The name "Murasaki" references the Japanese plant used to dye fabrics purple, and the modified flame guilloché pattern is crafted entirely by hand. The last piece is the Silver Grain, which delivers striking contrast with a white silver dial featuring blued numerals, highlighting an inverted triple-grain guilloché pattern.

At the core of the Laine P37 lies a meticulously reimagined Peseux 7001 movement, elevated with in-house bridges, screws, dials, and hands, all hand-finished to an exceptional standard with techniques such as black polishing. The rose gold colored manual winding movement provides a 42-hour power reserve and operates at a frequency of 21,600 vph (3 Hz). Each watch is paired with a leather strap and is limited to just 99 pieces, priced at CHF 9,900, approximately AED 41,300.
