The New Patek Philippe Twenty~4 7340/1R Perpetual Calendar

Introduced in 1999, the Twenty~4 collection was Patek Philippe’s first dedicated line of feminine timepieces. The original model featured an Art Deco-inspired manchette (cuff) design, but in 2018, the brand unveiled the Twenty~4 Automatic, which is a round-cased iteration powered by an automatic movement. This year, Patek Philippe elevates the collection further by introducing a perpetual calendar complication, marking the collection's debut in the realm of Grand Complications.
Crafted entirely in 18K rose gold, the watch features a 36mm case with a slender profile of just 9.95mm, making it sit gracefully on the wrist. The case is meticulously finished with a combination of polished and brushed surfaces, enhancing its refined aesthetic. Two dial options are available. The Ref. 7340/1R-001 features a silvery opaline dial with a vertical satin finish, evoking the texture of shantung silk that feature irregular texture, while the Ref. 7340/1R-010 presents an olive green sunburst dial for a more contemporary appeal.

Introducing Tag Heuer Unveils Two New Carrera Chronographs in Teal Green

A variant inspired by the iconic Dato layout, and the other with a tourbillon

Tag Heuer has been a Swiss luxury watchmaker since 1860, and is known for precision and innovation. With iconic models like the Monaco, Tag Heuer is associated with motorsports and continues to blend traditional craftsmanship with modern technology, offering a range of luxury-sport watches globally.

During LVMH Watch Week in Miami this year, TAG Heuer, welcomes the new year in style by introducing the two new TAG Heuer Carrera Chronographs, inspired by the iconic DATO layout, including a version with a tourbillon movement. These watches boast a captivating teal green monochrome design, honoring the vintage green tones that adorned racing cars throughout the exciting era of national color racing spanning from the 1920s to the 1960s.

TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph

The carrera collection is one of the iconic releases from the brand, and to truly delve into its rich history and its legendary timepieces, one must embark on a journey through time. The Carrera collection, unveiled in 1963, initially lacked a date complication in its design. However, just three years later, the collection underwent a fascinating evolution with the introduction of a date function at the 12 o’clock position, giving rise to the inaugural Dato design.

In 1968, a significant transformation unfolded as the date window relocated to the nine o’clock position. This pivotal moment marked the emergence of the iconic Dato layout, a milestone that has since become synonymous with TAG Heuer’s commitment to precision and style. The new teal green carrera chronograph comes in a brushed and polished steel case that measures 39 mm in diameter and 13.86 mm in thickness. The ‘Glassbox’ domed sapphire crystal with double anti-reflective treatment graces the top, providing a captivating view of the dial. Adding to the design's versatility are the fine brushed and polished steel round chronograph push-buttons at 2 o'clock and 4 o'clock, contributing to the timepiece aesthetics and functionality. Additionally, the watch comes with a steel screw-down sapphire caseback that ensures 100 meters of water resistance.

The teal green circular brushed dial creates a visually striking centerpiece. The dial features a teal green flange with a 60-second/minute scale, and a single counter at 3 o'clock, housing a teal green "azuré" 30 minute chronograph counter with a rhodium-plated polished hand. The hands and indices are polished and rhodium-plated, with white Super-LumiNova for enhanced visibility in various lighting conditions. The inclusion of a white TAG HEUER printed logo and an angled date window at 9 o'clock completes the dial’s aesthetics.

Powering the timpices is TAG Heuer's in-house movement, Heuer 02, identified as TH20-07, with 80-hour power reserve, and 28,800 vph (4Hz). Further enhancing this exceptional timepiece is the bidirectional automatic winding mechanism, contributing to its refined performance. Adding a distinctive touch is the shield-shaped rotor, a symbol synonymous with TAG Heuer's legacy. The watch comes with a black alligator leather strap, secured with a stainless-steel folding clasp, with a price of CHF 6,400 which is equivalent to AED 27,200.
