A version that embodies the legendary Panamericana champion 550 Spyder
TAG Heuer, founded in 1860, is a renowned Swiss watchmaker. With a heritage of watchmaking that reflects speed and innovation, TAG Heuer has become a favorite among racing enthusiasts and collectors alike. The iconic Carrera series is a testament to the brand’s commitment to capturing the thrill of auto racing. Today we take a look at the latest release from the brand, the "Chronograph Tourbillon Porsche Panamericana", an exceptional timepiece created in collaboration with Porsche. This extraordinary watch reflects the shared heritage of both brands, rooted in the legendary Carrera Panamericana, and celebrates the 70th anniversary of Porsche’s victories there. Inspired by the excitement of competition.
The watch comes with a 42mm stainless steel case that is 15.1mm thick, topped with a domed sapphire crystal and a sapphire crystal case back. It maintains classic design elements, including a crown at 3 o’clock and chronograph pushers at 2 and 4 o’clock. The historic Spyder logo is engraved on the side of the case, and the watch showcases a blend of polished and brushed finishes.

The silver skeletonized dial embodies the spirit of the iconic 550 Spyder, featuring intricate detailing that echoes the design of the car’s wheels. The silver, yellow, and black color scheme pays homage to the original racing livery, while the yellow rhodium-plated chronograph hands add a sporty touch. The subdials—located at 3 o’clock for the 30-minute chronograph and 9 o’clock for the 12-hour chronograph—reflect the sleek lines of the Spyder, highlighting its racing heritage. The striking one-minute tourbillon at 6 o’clock further emphasizes the elegance and functionality of this exquisite timepiece. Time is easily readable thanks to the white minute track printed on the inner flange, along with the white indexes and numerals on the outer flange of the dial, where the Porsche name replaces the indexes on the outer flange between 60 and 10 with Super-Luminova yellow dots on the edges.
The watch is powered by the TH20-09 in-house COSC-certified chronometer movement, a sophisticated evolution of the Heuer 02 caliber. This automatic chronograph features a 1-minute tourbillon regulator and operates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz), ensuring exceptional precision. With a power reserve of 65 hours, it utilizes bi-directional winding from a rotor intricately designed to resemble a Porsche steering wheel. The movement showcases exquisite finishing with Côtes de Genève.
It comes with a black calfskin leather strap featuring yellow lining and a stainless steel clasp. This limited edition watch is available in only 255 pieces and is priced at CHF 35,000, equivalent to AED 154,000.
