Inspired by the 1965 Porsche 911 from the Monte Carlo Rally
TAG Heuer Carrera collection is a symbol of the brand's deep connection to the world of motorsports. Since its inception in 1963, the Carrera has embodied precision, performance, and a passion for racing, becoming a true icon in the world of luxury chronographs. Inspired by the thrilling and challenging Carrera Panamericana race, one of the most dangerous and prestigious motor races in history, the Carrera collection has continuously evolved to honor TAG Heuer’s heritage in motorsport timekeeping.
This rich motorsport legacy is further exemplified through TAG Heuer’s celebrated partnership with Porsche, a collaboration that reflects their shared values of innovation, performance, and excellence. Over the years, the two brands have come together to create a powerful synergy, combining Porsche’s renowned automotive engineering with TAG Heuer’s expertise in timekeeping. Their bond is a natural one, forged in the spirit of racing, and has resulted in limited-edition timepieces that pay homage to iconic motorsport moments, reinforcing the connection between precision driving and precise timekeeping.
Continuing this partnership, TAG Heuer has unveiled the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronosprint x Porsche Rallye, a limited-edition timepiece that celebrates a historic moment in motorsport: the debut of the Porsche 911 at the 1965 Monte Carlo Rally. This collaboration honors the pioneering spirit of that rally, where the Porsche 911 “147” achieved an impressive performance, aided by TAG Heuer’s precision timing instruments. The new “Carrera Chronosprint x Porsche Rally” encapsulates this legacy, blending modern advancements in horology with the rich history shared by Porsche and TAG Heuer, making it a true tribute to their enduring motorsport heritage.
The TAG Heuer Carrera Chronosprint x Porsche Rallye is available in two versions, one crafted from brushed and polished stainless steel and the other from luxurious 18K 3N yellow gold. The case of each watch measures 42mm in diameter, with a thickness of 14.9mm and a lug-to-lug distance of 48.6mm, offering a bold yet comfortable fit on the wrist. Each model features a bezel-free construction, complemented by a domed sapphire crystal with double anti-reflective treatment for optimal readability, above the dial and the movement from the case back. The polished crowns and push-buttons, located at 3, 2, and 4 o'clock, ensure both functionality and refinement, and both versions offer water resistance of up to 100 meters.
The dials of the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronosprint x Porsche Rallye in both versions share a striking black shimmery dial with a black flange, featuring a 60-second/minute scale for precision. Both models feature three chronograph counters, at 3 o'clock, a black “azuré” minute chronograph counter with a rhodium-plated ring and a red lacquered hand in the steel version, and an 18K 3N yellow gold-plated ring in the gold version; At 6 o'clock the date window is integrated into the black shimmery second chronograph counter with a red lacquered hand; and at 9 o'clock, a black “azuré” hour chronograph counter with a rhodium-plated or 18K 3N yellow gold-plated ring, depending on the version, and a red lacquered hand.

Both dials feature polished, faceted rhodium-plated or 18K 3N yellow gold-plated applied indexes and hour and minute hands, with beige Super-LumiNova on the steel version and white Super-LumiNova on the gold version for enhanced legibility. The central second hand is also rhodium-plated or gold-plated, and the dials are adorned with the white TAG Heuer logo, along with “CARRERA,” “CHRONOSPRINT,” and “PORSCHE” printed on the dial, further emphasizing the connection to the world of motorsports.
Both watches are powered by the in-house calibre TH20-08 movement, a highly sophisticated automatic integrated chronograph featuring a column wheel and vertical clutch for seamless chronograph operation. This movement operates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz), ensuring precise timekeeping. With a high 80-hour power reserve, the TH20-08 is designed for reliability, making it ideal for both everyday wear and motorsport enthusiasts.
The TAG Heuer Carrera Chronosprint x Porsche Rallye comes with distinctive bracelet and strap options. The steel version comes in a fine-brushed, polished steel three-row bracelet, paired with a fine-brushed, polished steel folding clasp with double safety push-buttons. Additionally, it includes a black perforated calfskin leather strap with beige stitching, offering a sporty yet refined alternative. The price of the steel version is CHF 10,000, approximately AED 40,400. This limited edition steel piece is restricted to just 911 units, a special nod to the Porsche 911, a car that has changed the face of motorsport.
