The Summit Collection: A Strong First Step for New Brand Earthen

Earthen Company is one of the freshest names to enter the watch market, founded in Hong Kong in 2025 by a group of passionate collectors and enthusiasts. Co-founder Jonathan Chan, also a key figure behind The Horology Club, explains that the team approached this project as collectors first, not as traditional watchmakers.

The result is a debut that doesn’t chase trends but instead offers something unique, a series of ceramic, field- and pilot-inspired watches at an accessible price point. With the launch of the Summit Collection, it’s clear Earthen intends to make an impression from day one.

Introducing Sinn Introduces a New Manual-Wind Chronograph, The 103 St Ty Hd

The first manual-wind 103 chronograph in two decades, with vintage style

Helmut Sinn, a former World War II pilot, established the company "Sinn Spezialuhren" in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, in 1961. The company primarily focuses on crafting navigation clocks and pilot chronographs. The Sinn 103 stands as one of the earliest models in the brand's lineup, dating back to the 1960s as a classic pilot's chronograph equipped with hand-wound calibers. Now, the brand releases the newest limited edition timepiece that adheres to that tradition, marking the first manual-wind 103 chronograph in two decades, the 103 St Ty Hd.

The timepiece is housed in a 41mm stainless steel case, boasting a thickness of 14.8mm and featuring a domed acrylic crystal. The black-coated bidirectional bezel includes a Super-LumiNova triangle and a fully graduated 60-minute scale. The watch is equipped with a push-pull crown and non-screw-down pushers, maintaining its pressure resistance of up to 200 meters.

The Tri-Compax chronograph showcases a 30-minute counter positioned at 3 o'clock, a 12-hour counter at 6 o'clock, and a small seconds subdial at 9 o'clock, all set against a matte black dial. The symmetrical V-shaped layout of the counters in a matte-silk light yellow hue creates a harmonious and innovative design. Additionally, the first ten minutes are alternately indicated in black and red. The dial is adorned with faceted hour and minute hands, designed with a luminous effect to ensure legibility even in low-light conditions. Additionally, the interior bezel hosts a tachymeter scale, measuring speeds ranging from 60 km/h to 600 km/h.

The timepiece is powered by the Sellita SW 510, a hand-wound movement operating at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz) and boasting a power reserve of 58 hours. The watch comes with a green boar leather strap featuring red contrast stitching, as well as a black boar leather strap with decorative perforations and white contrast stitching. It is limited to 1,000 pieces and is priced at EUR 2,590, equivalent to AED 10,250.
