A Timepiece Showcasing Albanian Heritage and the Company's Expertise in Jewelry
The Albanian jewelry brand Pirro unveils its first watch "Primordial Passion," a remarkable timepiece that seamlessly blends the maison's exceptional craftsmanship with the rich heritage of ancient Albanian culture. This unique watch, the product of five years of dedicated work and passion, positions Albania prominently on the high-end watchmaking map.
The company has already gained recognition, as evidenced by its nomination in the jewelry watch category at the GPHG. This nomination places Pirro alongside prestigious names in the high-end watchmaking industry such as Bulgari, Van Cleef & Arpels, Chopard, and others. The American jewelry Tiffany company presented its first watch with a flying tourbillon mechanism and is nominated in this category as well.
The watch case, meticulously crafted from 18K yellow gold, measures 46.5 mm in diameter and 22 mm in height, including the sapphire crystal dome. All the gold components, including the figurines and the case, are produced in-house by Pirro.
The dial is an exquisite work of art, composed of a micro-mosaic in a red-black gradient made from Murano glass stones. It features 1,500 stones in eight different colors and 64 cuts, with the smallest measuring just 0.2 mm. The gradient and texture of the mosaic are carefully adjusted to indicate the hours. A fine gold geometric pattern confines the micro-mosaic stones, forming the Pirro brand motif. The case back is engraved with a detailed scene of folk dancers in micro-relief.
The dial showcases twelve Albanian folk dancers, each crafted in 18K yellow gold to mark the hours. These figures represent twelve regions, each unique and diverse in their regional embroidery, meticulously reflected in the hyper-realistic micro-figurines. Each dancer is finely designed and engraved within a micron range of 9-10 mm in height.
At the center, a fixed mechanical movement, developed in collaboration with swiss company Agenhor, enables the assembly of this intricate composition. Beneath the black onyx Pirro emblem, four instrumentalists in 18K gold are seated within a black gold eagle sculpture. Another notable feature is the bi-color hour hands in black and yellow 18K gold, shaped like eagle claws, indicating the hours and minutes.
This hand-wound movement beats at 21,600 Vph (3 Hz) and offers a 72-hour power reserve. The watch is complemented by a leather strap and a yellow gold pin buckle. The price is available upon request.
