A new look for the luxury sporty Chronograph
The Piaget Polo was first introduced in 1979 during the rise of luxury sports watches and became an icon for the brand. Renowned for its elegant yet sporty design, the Polo collection has since seen numerous iterations in various colors, and materials. In 2016, Piaget redesigned this collection, highlighting the essence of luxury sports watches in a modern way, combining sophisticated aesthetics with high functionality.
This year marks Piaget's 150th anniversary, and to celebrate this event, the brand has introduced a beautiful set of timepieces from the Polo collection. This includes two Polo Date’s with brown or beige dials, a rose gold variant with rainbow stones, and another in rose gold with a chocolate-hued dial. Not to mention the revival of the iconic Polo. To expand this celebration even further, the brand has released a new Polo Chronograph with an elegant emerald green dial.
The watch comes in a stainless steel case that combines a beautiful mix of brushed and polished finishes. It has a diameter of 42mm and a thickness of 11.2mm, with a sapphire crystal protecting the dial and another sapphire crystal on the caseback. Additionally, it is water-resistant up to 100 meters.
The dial features a horizontal line pattern and two silver-colored snailed counters: one at 3 o’clock for the 30-minute chronograph and one at 9 o’clock indicating the 12-hour chronograph. It also includes applied indices and hands coated with Super-LumiNova for enhanced visibility, and a date window at 6 o'clock.
The watch is powered by the Calibre 1160P, an automatic column-wheel chronograph movement based on the Cartier 1904-PS MC and made by ValFleurier, a movement manufacturer owned by Richemont. Piaget has used this movement since the 2016 introduction of the Polo S Chronograph. It operates at 28,800 vph (4Hz) and offers a 50-hour power reserve.
The new Piaget Polo Chronograph comes with a stainless steel bracelet with a butterfly folding clasp. It joins the permanent collection at a price of AED 77,500.
