Featuring Stainless Steel Case, Guilloché, and Grand Feu Enamel Dial
After being postponed due to accusations against the organizing body, Only Watch auction is set to resume on May 10, 2024, following the presentation of evidence validating its legitimacy. Coinciding with this revival, Patek Philippe unveils a special timepiece designed for the occasion: the "Only Watch" edition. This unique rendition of the famous Grande & Petite Sonnerie, labeled as Ref. 6301A-010, emerges as the latest addition to the auction lineup. Derived from the Patek Reference 6301P launched in 2020, renowned as the brand’s second most intricate watch, after the GrandMaster Chime it signifies a fresh contribution following the delay last year.
Encased within polished steel, the watch features a concave bezel and countersunk satin-finished flanks, presenting a sleek and sophisticated aesthetic. Its dimensions, boasting a diameter of 44.8mm and a height of 12.03mm, offer a striking presence on the wrist. The sapphire crystal case back proudly showcases the metallized inscription “Only Watch 2024”, signifying its exclusive nature. Complementing its distinguished design.
There is a button in the crown for the minute repeater, and a slide in the case-band for selecting the strike mode.

The timepiece boasts a Rare Handcrafts dial, crafted with meticulous attention to detail. Its dial plate, fashioned from 18K gold, showcases a mesmerizing hand-guilloched swirling pattern, visible beneath a stunning Grand Feu blue-green enamel. Adding to its opulence, the dial is adorned with 12 baguette-cut diamond hour markers, totaling 0.45 carats, and features a transfer-printed “only one” inscription, emphasizing its exclusivity. Additionally, the dial incorporates power reserve indicators for both the movement and the strikework, each bearing the distinctive “only one” inscription. Complementing this intricate dial are the white gold faceted Dauphine hands, exuding elegance and refinement, along with a jumping small seconds display positioned at 6 o’clock, further enhancing the timepiece's functionality and charm. The minute railtrack and seconds subdial are in white.
Visible through the transparent case back, the manually wound caliber GS 36-750 PS IRM showcases exceptional craftsmanship. This caliber boasts a Grande and Petite Sonnerie, along with a Minute Repeater, chiming melodiously on three classic gongs. Noteworthy are two patented innovations linked to the striking mechanism, alongside one dedicated to the jumping small seconds mechanism. Comprising an impressive 703 parts, it operates at a frequency of 25,200 VPH (3.5 Hz) and offers a substantial power reserve of 72 hours.
Adorning the wrist is a green-patinated alligator leather strap with square scales, meticulously hand-stitched for a luxurious finish. Secured with a steel fold-over clasp, this timepiece stands as a unique creation, crafted exclusively for the Only Watch charity auction. With an estimated value ranging between CHF 1,500,000 and 1,800,000, it represents a pinnacle of horological artistry and philanthropy.
