The iconic pilot’s watch in a smaller, more elegant size
Oris first introduced the Big Crown in 1938, a pilot’s watch designed with an oversized crown to make adjustments easier while wearing leather gloves. That bold, functional design has since become a hallmark of the collection. Fast forward to today, and the Big Crown spirit is alive and well, only this time, it’s wrapped in a smaller, sleeker case, joining its 36mm and 40mm siblings.
The case is crafted from multi-piece stainless steel and measures exactly 34mm across, with a 41mm lug-to-lug distance. That puts it comfortably in vintage territory. Despite the smaller diameter, the case remains 11.10mm thick, giving it a noticeable presence on the wrist. The watch features a screw-in security crown, and its domed sapphire crystal is treated with an anti-reflective coating on the inside for improved legibility. Around back, you’ll find a screwed stainless steel caseback with a see-through mineral glass window offering a glimpse of the movement.
The watch comes in two versions: the first features a textured brown dial, while the second has a black dial adorned with 12 lab-grown baguette-cut diamonds in place of the indices. Both dials are time-only, giving the watch a cleaner aesthetic and helping to distinguish it from the other versions.
Inside is the Oris 531 automatic movement, based on the Sellita SW100. It offers a 42-hour power reserve and operates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz).

Each watch is paired with a multi-piece stainless steel bracelet with a folding clasp. The brown dial version is priced at CHF 1,900, approximately AED 8,300, while the diamond-set black dial climbs to CHF 2,800, approximately AED 12,300.
