Louis Erard Unveils the Limited-Edition Gravée Main

Since 2021, Louis Erard has been redefining the boundaries of Métiers d’Art, from Grand Feu enamel and guilloché to wood marquetry, and soon, gold wire inlay. Now, Gravée Main opens a new chapter, paying tribute to one of the oldest crafts in watchmaking hand engraving.
Gravée Main represents a new milestone in Louis Erard’s Métiers d’Art series. This limited edition of 99 unique timepieces places hand engraving at center stage, with every metal element entirely engraved and finished by hand, a meticulous process that requires more than 50 hours of work.

Introducing Oris Expands the Big Crown Collection with Calibre 113

A New Movement Featuring an Exceptional Power Reserve and Full Calendar

Since its debut in 1938, the Oris Big Crown has stood as a symbol of aviation heritage. Born out of the need for pilots to have legible and easy-to-use instruments in challenging conditions, its defining features most notably the oversized crown and the iconic Pointer Date have earned it a place among the most iconic pilot’s watches.

In a landmark evolution for the collection, Oris now introduces the “Big Crown Calibre 113” the first time this sophisticated in-house movement has been integrated into the line.

The watch comes in a 43 mm stainless steel case with a domed sapphire crystal that is anti-reflective on both sides, ensuring clear visibility in various lighting conditions. It includes an open caseback that reveals the in-house Calibre 113 movement, and the crown is engraved with the Oris logo, maintaining consistency with the Big Crown design heritage, and its offering a water resistance of 50 meters.

The dial of the Big Crown Calibre 113 delivers a full business calendar with remarkable clarity. It features a central pointer hand that tracks all 52 weeks of the year, with the names of the months carefully positioned around the scale to reflect their corresponding week ranges—providing a clear, at-a-glance reference for the entire calendar year. A day window sits just above the center axis, while the date is shown at 6 o’clock. At 9 o’clock, a non-linear power reserve indicator gives a more intuitive sense of remaining energy, while a pink small seconds counter at 3 o’clock adds contrast to the distinctive mint green dial. Gold and white detailing enhances legibility across all functions, and the luminescent-coated hands ensure reliable visibility in low-light conditions making the dial as functional as it is visually compelling.

The watch is powered by the Oris Calibre 113, a hand-wound mechanical movement first introduced in 2017 as part of the brand’s in-house Calibre 100 Series. Known for its robust engineering, this movement delivers an impressive 10-day power reserve (240 hours) from a single barrel, and features Oris’s patented non-linear power reserve indicator, which provides a more intuitive reading of remaining energy as it winds down.

Beating at a frequency of 21,600 vph (3Hz), Calibre 113 reflects Oris’s continued dedication to developing technically advanced, fully mechanical movements within its independent manufacture.

It comes with a stainless steel bracelet, and folding clasp, and priced at CHF 6,350 approximately equivalent to AED 29,000.
