The New Patek Philippe Twenty~4 7340/1R Perpetual Calendar

Introduced in 1999, the Twenty~4 collection was Patek Philippe’s first dedicated line of feminine timepieces. The original model featured an Art Deco-inspired manchette (cuff) design, but in 2018, the brand unveiled the Twenty~4 Automatic, which is a round-cased iteration powered by an automatic movement. This year, Patek Philippe elevates the collection further by introducing a perpetual calendar complication, marking the collection's debut in the realm of Grand Complications.
Crafted entirely in 18K rose gold, the watch features a 36mm case with a slender profile of just 9.95mm, making it sit gracefully on the wrist. The case is meticulously finished with a combination of polished and brushed surfaces, enhancing its refined aesthetic. Two dial options are available. The Ref. 7340/1R-001 features a silvery opaline dial with a vertical satin finish, evoking the texture of shantung silk that feature irregular texture, while the Ref. 7340/1R-010 presents an olive green sunburst dial for a more contemporary appeal.

Introducing New Zenith Defy Extreme Chronograph Carl Cox Edition

Inspired by the realm of DJ, this timepiece is a testament to Carl Cox's passion for both music and racing

The DEFY collection by Zenith was introduced in 1969 with the release of the A3642 model, marking a milestone in the brand's history. This collection embodies Zenith's spirit of innovation and craftsmanship. Over the years, the DEFY collection has continued to evolve and introduce new models, showcasing Zenith's commitment to pushing the boundaries of watchmaking.

During the Watches & Wonders Geneva 2021, Zenith unveiled the DEFY Extreme collection, a new addition designed for extreme durability and functionality. They often feature materials like titanium and carbon fiber for lightweight yet strong cases.

The DEFY EXTREME watches are characterized by their vibrant and eye-catching colors. These timepieces come in a spectrum of hues, just like The Defy Chroma II EL Primero 21, however the case size of the DEFY Extreme is larger, offering a bold and commanding presence on the wrist. Additionally, it incorporates an extra ring beneath the bezel, further enhancing its rugged aesthetics. The pushers and crown of the DEFY Extreme exhibit a more pronounced and robust design, emphasizing their functionality and ease of use in demanding conditions.

Enhancing its allure, the latest Defy Extreme pays tribute to the world-renowned DJ and record producer, Carl Cox, who also holds the esteemed position of being a Zenith ambassador. In 2020, the brand commemorated the DJ's enduring legacy by introducing the Zenith Defy 21l Carl Cox Edition, encased in sleek black carbon fiber.

However, the new Defy Extreme takes a different approach, flaunting a compelling fusion of Microblasted (sandblasting on a micro-precision scale), Steel and Yellow Gold. With dimensions measuring 45 mm in diameter and 15.4 mm in thickness, it is shielded by tinted sapphire crystal on the top and sapphire crystal on the caseback revealing zenith’s back star, with 200m of water resistance. Adding to its allure, the design features accents in lustrous yellow gold, notably highlighting a 12-sided ring beneath the bezel and providing protective shields for the chronograph pushers.

The Defy Extreme's openworked dial unveils a 30-min chronograph counter at 3 o'clock, 60-min chronograph counter at 6 o'clock and running seconds positioned at 9 o'clock. On the silver-colored track, time measurements accurate to 1/100th of a second are executed by the central chronograph hand. The luminous touch extends to the gold-plated indices, which are coated with Super-LumiNova, a feature mirrored by the openworked gold-plated hour and minute hands. Notably, a power reserve indicator finds its place at 12 o’clock.

Powering the watch is the El Primero 21 caliber, a modernized version of its iconic El Primero movement, which was first unveiled in 1969, a movement known for its exceptional precision and high-frequency operation. The El Primero 21 beats at 36,000vph for timekeeping and a rate of 360,000vph for the chronograph function, which is 10 times faster than the standard 28,800 VPH movements found in many watches. This high frequency allows for accurate timekeeping and precise measurement of elapsed time with 50 hours of power reserve..

The timepiece is presented with a versatile three-link microblasted steel bracelet and includes two additional options for wear, a durable rubber strap and a convenient Velcro strap. Zenith has designed the watch with an innovative interchangeable strap system, allowing effortless switching between the bracelet and these alternative straps to suit various occasions and preferences.

The Defy Extreme Chronograph Carl Cox, is limited to 100 pieces, with a price of CHF 28,500 , which is equivalent to AED 114,000.
