The iconic fictional character sets out on a journey through the beautiful Arabian desert
Reservoir watches draws s inspiration from the elegance of classic automotive and aeronautical instruments, especially vintage dashboard gauges, Reservoir crafts timepieces exuding a distinctive retro-modern allure. Renowned for their innovative time display mechanisms, Reservoir watches frequently showcase jumping hours, and retrograde minutes. These complications are designed to emulate the functionality of conventional gauges found in automobiles and aircraft, presenting a novel approach to timekeeping.
In 2022, Reservoir introduced a limited edition watch showcasing Popeye, the iconic fictional character renowned for his formidable strength, love for spinach, and thrilling escapades. Then, in 2023, the brand honored the essence of the 2023 Men's Cricket World Cup and the spirit of Popeye with the unveiling of the RESERVOIR X POPEYE CRICKET. Now, the brand unveils the latest RESERVOIR x Popeye Camel, an exclusive timepiece available at Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons luxury stores in the UAE.
In this watch, Popeye is reimagined within a desert landscape, where a camel replaces his iconic boat. Dressed as a pirate, Popeye's adventurous spirit is vividly portrayed. The deep, rich blue hues evoke the expansive skies often seen in the beautiful Arab desert. This interpretation creatively embodies the notion of traversing various eras and locations while paying homage to Popeye's adventurous and daring character.

The timepiece boasts a 41.5mm PVD Gold coated stainless steel case, exuding elegance and durability. The watch is equipped with a screw-down crown, ensuring water resistance up to 50m. The open case-back reveals an exclusive "Popeye" character glass paint application, adding a unique and personalized touch to the timepiece. Additionally, an anti-reflective sapphire crystal protects the dial, providing optimal clarity and visibility in various lighting conditions. Speaking of the dial, Popeye’s left arm resembles the retrograde minutes, while the jumping hours are showcased in a circular window at 6 o'clock. Complementing this design are golden Eastern Arabic numerals, enhancing the watch's aesthetic appeal.

This automatic movement operates at 28,800 vph (4Hz) and offers 56 hours of power reserve. The watch comes with a brown nubuck leather strap with brown stitching, and Blue Wax Side, with a stainless steel pin buckle. The new RESERVOIR x Popeye Camel is limited to 100 pieces with a price of CHF 4,900 which is equivalent to AED 20,500.
