The New Patek Philippe Twenty~4 7340/1R Perpetual Calendar

Introduced in 1999, the Twenty~4 collection was Patek Philippe’s first dedicated line of feminine timepieces. The original model featured an Art Deco-inspired manchette (cuff) design, but in 2018, the brand unveiled the Twenty~4 Automatic, which is a round-cased iteration powered by an automatic movement. This year, Patek Philippe elevates the collection further by introducing a perpetual calendar complication, marking the collection's debut in the realm of Grand Complications.
Crafted entirely in 18K rose gold, the watch features a 36mm case with a slender profile of just 9.95mm, making it sit gracefully on the wrist. The case is meticulously finished with a combination of polished and brushed surfaces, enhancing its refined aesthetic. Two dial options are available. The Ref. 7340/1R-001 features a silvery opaline dial with a vertical satin finish, evoking the texture of shantung silk that feature irregular texture, while the Ref. 7340/1R-010 presents an olive green sunburst dial for a more contemporary appeal.

Introducing Jaeger-LeCoultre Unveils the Master Control Chronograph Calendrier in Striking Rose Gold and Black Dial

A Contemporary Update Honoring Tradition, Elevating Elegance

Jaeger-LeCoultre has introduced a new version of its Master Control Chronograph Calendar, known as the Calendrier, with a case made of rose gold and a black dial. Some may think that the Master Control Chronograph Calendar Calendrier is a model in JLC's catalog from one or more generations, found in the rare pieces section. However, the surprise is that it was only introduced in 2020 as an update to the fantastic Master Control collection, which dates back to 1992.

The real change lies in the black dial of the watch and the red print, which not only honors timepieces of yore but takes them to new heights.

This model is essentially the same as the well-known Master Control Chronograph Calendrier, but it has been updated with a new black dial featuring a red pulsometer scale on the outer track. Additionally, it has additional red print on the sub-dials and date and day windows.

The relatively large case measures 40mm in diameter and 12mm in thickness, and it is water-resistant up to 50 meters. It is crafted from rose gold, and the sophisticated Jaeger-LeCoultre movement can be seen through the transparent sapphire caseback. The movement continues to be appealing and is rich in intricate features, including the presence of blue screws and the renowned Geneva stripes. The movement is clearly visible thanks to the slightly skeletonized gold rotor.

The underlying movement is the JLC Cal. 751 with an added calendar module. This means that it is a chronograph watch that uses an independent balance wheel and is equipped with a vertical clutch and column wheel, as one would expect from a luxury chronograph like the Master Control. The movement is relatively small with a diameter of 25.6mm, allowing for a slim case that exudes elegance on the wrist.

The new Master Control Chronograph Calendrier is available with a retail price of $32,500, the same price as the existing silver dial version, which was introduced in 2020 with a white gold case, priced at $26,000. The new master control chronograph calendrier will only be available in Jaeger-LeCoultre boutiques.

This watch now joins the catalog alongside the stainless steel Master Control Chronograph Calendrier, which is priced at $19,100. It's worth noting that Jaeger-LeCoultre watches have seen a noticeable increase in prices since last year, which can also be noted with this watch.
