The New Patek Philippe Twenty~4 7340/1R Perpetual Calendar

Introduced in 1999, the Twenty~4 collection was Patek Philippe’s first dedicated line of feminine timepieces. The original model featured an Art Deco-inspired manchette (cuff) design, but in 2018, the brand unveiled the Twenty~4 Automatic, which is a round-cased iteration powered by an automatic movement. This year, Patek Philippe elevates the collection further by introducing a perpetual calendar complication, marking the collection's debut in the realm of Grand Complications.
Crafted entirely in 18K rose gold, the watch features a 36mm case with a slender profile of just 9.95mm, making it sit gracefully on the wrist. The case is meticulously finished with a combination of polished and brushed surfaces, enhancing its refined aesthetic. Two dial options are available. The Ref. 7340/1R-001 features a silvery opaline dial with a vertical satin finish, evoking the texture of shantung silk that feature irregular texture, while the Ref. 7340/1R-010 presents an olive green sunburst dial for a more contemporary appeal.

Louis Moinet's "Cosmic Art" collection elegantly fuses celestial allure with horological craftsmanship. Renowned for their cosmic-themed designs, the watches in this collection display dials crafted from celestial materials—be it meteorite fragments, or moon dust. A standout piece, the Cosmopolis Watch that was released this year, holds the distinction of being the world's only timepiece to feature 12 different cosmic rocks over the watch dial. The latest addition to this collection is the Jules Verne Tourbillon “To the Moon'', which marks the inaugural piece in the Jules Verne Tourbillon trilogy. The timepiece centers a rare lunar meteorite within its design, limited to a mere eight pieces, this watch offers watch enthusiasts the choice of selecting their desired lunar meteorite piece directly via Louis Moinet's official website, with two more timepieces in orange and blue dials.

The watch is encased in a brushed and polished 18k 5N rose gold case, measuring 40.70 mm in diameter. Protecting the artistic dial within is a domed sapphire crystal that ensures clarity,  complementing its elegance are the fluted crown and openworked lugs. It offers 30 meters of water resistance.

The dial features a guilloché pattern under a translucent green varnish, providing a nice backdrop. At the center lies the lunar meteorite, which prospective owners are presented with an exclusive choice of 8 distinct meteorite patterns, making each watch a one-of-a-kind piece.  Ensuring legibility, the faceted and skeletonised hour and minute hands are infused with luminescence, glowing in dim conditions.The one minute flying tourbillon is off-centered adding a touch of mechanical beauty.

Powering this watch is the manual-winding caliber LM135. It operates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz), ensuring precision. With a double spring barrel, the watch promises a 96-hour power reserve. The watch comes with a black alligator leather strap, with a folding clasp, ensuring a secure fit and ease of wear .Limited to only 8 pieces, and the price is upon request.
