The New Patek Philippe Twenty~4 7340/1R Perpetual Calendar

Introduced in 1999, the Twenty~4 collection was Patek Philippe’s first dedicated line of feminine timepieces. The original model featured an Art Deco-inspired manchette (cuff) design, but in 2018, the brand unveiled the Twenty~4 Automatic, which is a round-cased iteration powered by an automatic movement. This year, Patek Philippe elevates the collection further by introducing a perpetual calendar complication, marking the collection's debut in the realm of Grand Complications.
Crafted entirely in 18K rose gold, the watch features a 36mm case with a slender profile of just 9.95mm, making it sit gracefully on the wrist. The case is meticulously finished with a combination of polished and brushed surfaces, enhancing its refined aesthetic. Two dial options are available. The Ref. 7340/1R-001 features a silvery opaline dial with a vertical satin finish, evoking the texture of shantung silk that feature irregular texture, while the Ref. 7340/1R-010 presents an olive green sunburst dial for a more contemporary appeal.

German watchmakers have carved a significant niche in the horological industry, renowned for their craftsmanship and meticulous attention to detail. Among these illustrious brands, Junghans stands out as a paragon of German precision and innovation. The Meister collection epitomizes the brand's commitment to producing fine, precise, and stylish wristwatches, a legacy that has endured for almost 90 years. Now, Junghans continues to honor this tradition with the new Meister Chronoscope. This timepiece blends classic elegance with a hint of sportiness, featuring color accents in radiant yellow on the dark dial and comes with a sleek steel bracelet.

The Meister Chronoscope boasts a polished stainless steel case measuring 40.7mm in diameter and 13.9mm in height. It features a domed sapphire crystal with an anti-reflection coating and a screwed case back with a mineral crystal, ensuring a water resistance of up to 50 meters.

The dial features an anthracite hue that darkens towards the edges. For the first time, all 12 hour markers are not only applied but also adapted to the dial's domed shape. A hallmark of the Meister Chronoscope, the bowl-shaped subdials display the 30-minute chronograph at 12 o'clock, the 12-hour chronograph at 6 o'clock, and the small seconds at 9 o'clock, all with yellow lacquered hands. The hour and minute hands are diamond-cut and inlaid with a white luminous substance. In addition to the time, the date and day of the week indicators are shown in windows at 3 o’clock, and are available in German or English depending on the model.

The watch is powered by the Calibre J880.1, an automatic movement based on the ETA Valjoux 7750. It operates at 28,800 vph (4Hz) and offers a 48-hour power reserve. The new multi-link bracelet is brushed and polished and comes in stainless steel with a folding clasp, priced at EUR 2,340, equivalent to AED 9,350.
