The New Patek Philippe Twenty~4 7340/1R Perpetual Calendar

Introduced in 1999, the Twenty~4 collection was Patek Philippe’s first dedicated line of feminine timepieces. The original model featured an Art Deco-inspired manchette (cuff) design, but in 2018, the brand unveiled the Twenty~4 Automatic, which is a round-cased iteration powered by an automatic movement. This year, Patek Philippe elevates the collection further by introducing a perpetual calendar complication, marking the collection's debut in the realm of Grand Complications.
Crafted entirely in 18K rose gold, the watch features a 36mm case with a slender profile of just 9.95mm, making it sit gracefully on the wrist. The case is meticulously finished with a combination of polished and brushed surfaces, enhancing its refined aesthetic. Two dial options are available. The Ref. 7340/1R-001 features a silvery opaline dial with a vertical satin finish, evoking the texture of shantung silk that feature irregular texture, while the Ref. 7340/1R-010 presents an olive green sunburst dial for a more contemporary appeal.

Introducing Jaeger-LeCoultre Unveils the Reverso Tribute Minute Repeater

Featuring an All-New Calibre 953 in a Reversible Pink Gold Case

In 1994, Jaeger-LeCoultre unveiled the Reverso Minute Repeater, marking the first time the Maison miniaturized a minute repeater for a wristwatch. It was also Jaeger-LeCoultre’s first rectangular minute repeater movement, continuing the brand’s legacy of chiming watches that began with its first minute repeater in 1870.

Now, for Watches & Wonders 2025, Jaeger-LeCoultre reinvents this remarkable complication with the new Reverso Tribute Minute Repeater. Equipped with an entirely new in-house movement, Calibre 953, this latest interpretation brings a fresh visual expression to the minute repeater, with distinctive dials on both the front and reverse sides. These dials showcase the expertise of Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Métiers Rares™ atelier, reinforcing the Reverso’s reputation as a canvas for mechanical and artistic innovation.

Crafted from 18K pink gold (750/1000), the case of the Reverso Tribute Minute Repeater embodies Jaeger-LeCoultre’s mastery of form and function. Measuring 51.1 x 31 mm with a 12.6 mm thickness, True to the Reverso’s Art Deco heritage, the rectangular case features refined lines and polished surfaces that enhance its sophisticated presence. With a water resistance of 30 meters.

The chiming mechanism’s activation slider, positioned on the side of the case, has been subtly redesigned to enhance discretion without compromising ergonomics.

While both dials display the same time, they possess distinct personalities. The front dial features a captivating hand-guilloché barley-seed pattern that creates an optical illusion of movement, catching the light from different angles. This intricate guillochage is enhanced by multiple layers of Grand Feu enamel in a rich teal blue hue. Crafted entirely in-house at the Métiers Rares™ atelier, the dial’s guillochage alone requires four hours of meticulous work, followed by an additional eight hours to complete the enameling process.

The reverse dial reveals the intricate minute repeater mechanism in action, its open-worked design offering a fascinating view of the movement’s complexity. A sense of depth and transparency is achieved through cantilevered faceted indexes, which appear to float above the movement, anchored to the chemin de fer minutes track. The hand-beveled bridges, featuring a mix of brushed and grained surfaces, create a striking contrast between the cool silvery tones of the metal and the warm 18k pink gold case (750/1000). A bridge spanning from 7 o’clock to 5 o’clock, supporting the hammers, is adorned with blue lacquer, harmonizing with the front dial’s color scheme.

At the heart of the Reverso Tribute Minute Repeater lies the newly developed Calibre 953, a fully in-house manually wound movement. This caliber integrates seven patents, enhancing the acoustic performance of the repeater. Trébuchet hammers strike the gongs with optimized efficiency, delivering greater sound volume with less energy. Crystal gongs are directly affixed to the sapphire crystal to amplify the chimes, while a silent-interval elimination mechanism ensures a seamless auditory experience. Operating at 3 Hz, Calibre 953 offers a 48-hour power reserve.

The Reverso Tribute Minute Repeater is limited to just 30 pieces and comes with a black alligator leather strap lined with small-scale alligator and an adjustable folding clasp. Crafted entirely in pink gold, the watch weighs nearly 30 grams, embodying the perfect fusion of elegance and mechanical mastery.

Alongside this release, Jaeger-LeCoultre introduces an exclusive collector’s box commemorating the 90th anniversary of the Reverso. This exquisitely crafted case is designed to house six limited-edition Reverso timepieces, offering collectors a refined way to showcase their treasured masterpieces. The watch is priced at 275,000 euros, equivalent to approximately 1,093,500 AED.
