Louis Erard Unveils the Limited-Edition Gravée Main

Since 2021, Louis Erard has been redefining the boundaries of Métiers d’Art, from Grand Feu enamel and guilloché to wood marquetry, and soon, gold wire inlay. Now, Gravée Main opens a new chapter, paying tribute to one of the oldest crafts in watchmaking hand engraving.
Gravée Main represents a new milestone in Louis Erard’s Métiers d’Art series. This limited edition of 99 unique timepieces places hand engraving at center stage, with every metal element entirely engraved and finished by hand, a meticulous process that requires more than 50 hours of work.

Introducing Isotope Unveils the OVNI Jumping Hour Founders Edition

A limited edition celebrating the British brand’s 10th anniversary

Independent watchmaking thrives on creativity, and the British brand Isotope has built its name on exactly that, giving rise to modern and unconventional designs. With each release, Isotope has dared to push boundaries. This year, it unveils the OVNI Jumping Hour Founders Edition to celebrate the brand’s 10th anniversary.

The watch is housed in a 904L stainless steel case with horizontal brushing that gives it a refined texture. Measuring 40mm in diameter and 13.6mm in thickness, the case takes inspiration from flying-saucer silhouettes, defined by smooth curves and a crown set at 12 o’clock. Flipping the watch over reveals a screw-down caseback engraved with the OVNI insignia and fitted with a rotor view. Water resistance is rated at 30 meters.

The dial is made of aluminium and features Super-LumiNova numerals that glow with unique character. Unlike traditional jumping-hour displays, where numerals change behind a fixed window, Isotope has developed a proprietary system in which a rotating disc aperture jumps forward each hour to reveal static numerals. A central column extends through the doughnut-shaped sapphire crystal, enhancing the sci-fi aesthetic. Around it, the lone minute hand, also treated with Super-LumiNova, orbits the column, guided by twelve bold markers for clarity and legibility.

At its heart is the Swiss La Joux-Perret G101 calibre, paired with Isotope’s exclusive jumping-disc module. This automatic movement beats at 28,800 vph (4Hz) and offers a 68-hour power reserve, with an accuracy of approximately ±7 seconds per day.

Completing the package is a grey FKM rubber strap with a quick-release system, secured by an Isotope-branded clasp. The OVNI Jumping Hour Founders Edition is limited to 150 individually numbered pieces. Pre-orders run from August 25 to September 13, 2025, with deliveries scheduled for February and March 2026.

The pre-order price is £1,500 (approximately AED 7,500). Future versions of the OVNI Jumping Hour will join the permanent collection at a higher retail price of £2,400 (approximately AED 11,950).
