The New Patek Philippe Twenty~4 7340/1R Perpetual Calendar

Introduced in 1999, the Twenty~4 collection was Patek Philippe’s first dedicated line of feminine timepieces. The original model featured an Art Deco-inspired manchette (cuff) design, but in 2018, the brand unveiled the Twenty~4 Automatic, which is a round-cased iteration powered by an automatic movement. This year, Patek Philippe elevates the collection further by introducing a perpetual calendar complication, marking the collection's debut in the realm of Grand Complications.
Crafted entirely in 18K rose gold, the watch features a 36mm case with a slender profile of just 9.95mm, making it sit gracefully on the wrist. The case is meticulously finished with a combination of polished and brushed surfaces, enhancing its refined aesthetic. Two dial options are available. The Ref. 7340/1R-001 features a silvery opaline dial with a vertical satin finish, evoking the texture of shantung silk that feature irregular texture, while the Ref. 7340/1R-010 presents an olive green sunburst dial for a more contemporary appeal.

Introducing Hanhart Unveils the Preventor9 S

A new pilots watch from the Swiss-German brand, without the chronograph

Hanhart, an early developer of wristwatch chronographs, specializes in pilot's watches and has significantly influenced the German watch industry. Since 1882, the company has been creating timepieces that blend craftsmanship with unique design. The design, production, and distribution of these pilot's watches take place in Gütenbach, located in Germany's Black Forest.

Typically, the brand specializes in chronograph timepieces, earning a reputation for reliability on battlefields and on the wrists of various air force personnel. However, Hanhart has chosen to forgo the chronograph function in their latest release. This new model, the Hanhart Preventor9 S, features a simple time-only display with a small seconds sub-dial.

The stainless steel case measures 40 mm in diameter and 12.15 mm in thickness, and is coated with black PVD, and showcases a large crown that features the "h" from the Hanhart logo. The convex sapphire crystal is treated with an internal anti-reflective coating, offering excellent scratch resistance. The case back displays the serial number along with Hanhart's signature "h”. Additionally, the watch is water-resistant up to 100 meters.

The Preventor9 S is designed based on a historic Hanhart model from the 1950s. The matte black dial features a small seconds sub-dial at 9 o'clock, a layout previously used by Hanhart. Another distinctive element is the railway minute track. The dial, paired with bright cathedral hands, luminous Arabic numerals, and white minute markers, offers exceptional readability. The hands and numerals are coated with Super-LumiNova, ensuring visibility in low-light conditions.

The watch is powered by Calibre HAN4112, a modified version of the Sellita SW200-1, re-engineered by Dubois Depraz to accommodate the small seconds position. This automatic movement operates at 28,800 vph (4Hz) and provides a 38-hour power reserve.

The watch comes with a black calfskin leather strap featuring white contrast stitching and an Alcantara lining, with a PVD-coated stainless steel buckle. It is part of a limited production of just 100 pieces in 2024 and is priced at EUR 1,290, which is equivalent to AED 5,100.
