Glashütte Sails Through Time with a Silver and Blue Dial Inspired by the Beauty of the Ocean
Glashütte Original, established in 1845. Emerged from Glashütte, Germany, the brand epitomizes the artistry of haute horology and is renowned for its designs and luxurious timepieces.
The Glashütte Original company is distinguished by its diverse collections, which seamlessly merge German engineering precision and high craftsmanship, and it presents us with a new addition: the "Glashütte Original Senator Chronometer"
The 2023 edition of the “Senator Chronometer” is crafted from 18k white gold, the timepiece features a 42mm case with a height of 11.4mm and water resistance up to 50m, surrounded by a polished bezel.
What makes this watch unique is its frosted silver-blue dial, evoking the tranquil allure of the ocean. The dial features white gold Roman numerals coated in blue, along with blued steel hands adorned in a matching blue coating. The dial's design includes a small seconds railroad track at 6 o’clock, complemented by a power reserve indicator at 12 o’clock with day/night function, and a panorama date window positioned at 3 o’clock, with an inset button for date adjustment located on the left side of the crown.
Inspired by marine chronometers, this timepiece is powered by the in-house hand-wound Calibre 58-08 movement, which has undergone a rigorous 15-day testing period to ensure its chronometer certification.
This movement provides a power reserve of 44 hours and 40 minutes, operating at a frequency of 28,800vph. To adjust the time, gently pull the crown, and observe the seconds hand swiftly resetting to zero, enabling seamless synchronization with the time down to the second.
The Glashütte Original Senator Chronometer comes with a blue alligator leather strap with white gold clasp, with a price of EUR 35,800 which is equivalent to AED 143,000.
