The mother-of-pearl dial and diamonds exude feminine elegance
Glashütte Original is a renowned German luxury watchmaker with a rich heritage dating back to 1845. Hailing from the historic watchmaking town of Glashütte in Saxony, Germany, the brand is synonymous with precision, craftsmanship, and elegance. One of Glashütte Original's notable releases is the Lady Serenade collection, which exemplifies the brand's commitment to creating refined timepieces for women, showcasing luxurious aesthetics.
Now, Glashütte Original unveils a captivating addition to the Lady Serenade collection, a limited-edition timepiece with only 50 pieces available, dedicated to Valentine's Day 2024. Adorned with brilliant-cut diamonds, a mother-of-pearl dial, and rose-colored numerals.
The new Lady Serenade boasts a polished stainless steel case, measuring 36mm in diameter and 10.20mm in thickness, surrounded by a bezel set with 52 brilliant-cut diamonds, with a crown that is also adorned with a brilliant-cut diamond, adding a touch of luxury to the watch.. The scratch-resistant sapphire crystal on both the front and back ensures durability while maintaining a clear view of the dial and the intricate movement within.
The handmade dial is crafted from white mother-of-pearl and serves as a canvas for the artistry embedded in this timepiece. The rhodium-plated hour, minute, and central seconds hands are surrounded by shades of rose and violet printed indices and curved Arabic numerals. Additionally, a date window positioned at 6 o'clock showcases violet numerals against a white background.
Powering this watch is the calibre 39-22, a Glashütte Original manufacture automatic movement. Operating at 28,800vph (4Hz), and offering 40-hours of power reserve. The movement showcases a three-quarter plate, beveled edges, and a skeletonized rotor with the iconic double-G.
The new Lady Serenade comes with a rose-colored alligator leather strap, offering two options. Either with a folding clasp, pricing the watch at EUR 12,300, equivalent to AED 49,900, while the model with a pin buckle is priced at EUR 11,900, equivalent to AED 47,900.
