A Professional Dive Watch Featuring a Fortis-Style Dial
Fortis is a Swiss watch brand founded in 1912, known for its precision and durability across various fields, including aviation, space exploration, and diving. The Fortis Marinemaster collection, launched in 1954, is specifically designed for divers and marine enthusiasts for its high water resistance. In the latest edition of this collection, the brand introduces the new diving watch, the “Fortis Marinemaster M-44 Amber Orange”.
This watch comes in a 44mm diameter and a 14mm thickness, designed for durability and performance. The case is crafted from recycled brushed stainless steel, showcasing an eco-conscious approach. It boasts a bidirectional gear bezel with a Fortis Lock System, ensuring secure operation. The sapphire crystal, treated with an anti-reflective coating on both sides, provides excellent clarity while protecting the dial.
A stainless steel case back with Ultra-Engraving adds a unique touch, and the screw-down crown with a triple gasket system, along with protectors on both sides, enhances water resistance and durability. With an impressive 500m water resistance and a helium valve at 10 o'clock, this watch is built for serious diving and extreme conditions.
The black dial features the signature Fortis O-pattern with applied Superluminova X1 indices for vibrant blue luminosity. The hour, minute, and sweep second hands are all coated with SuperluminovaX1, ensuring excellent visibility in low-light conditions. The hour and minute hands are metallic, with the minute hand highlighted in orange for a bold contrast. The sweep second hand features a distinctive Bull's Eye design. A date window is positioned at the 3 o'clock mark, offering added practicality. Surrounding the dial is an orange ring with a white printed minute track, enhancing both the aesthetics and functionality of the watch.
The watch is powered by the Automatic Manufacture Calibre Werk 11, a precision movement that offers exceptional performance. With a robust power reserve of 70 hours, it ensures reliable timekeeping even during extended periods of non-wear. Additionally, the movement is a Certified Chronometer, guaranteeing its accuracy and adherence to the highest standards of precision.
It comes with a stainless steel bracelet at price USD 4,500 approximately AED 16,600, or with FKM orange rubber Horizon Strap at price 4,150, approximately AED 15,300.
