Louis Erard Unveils the Limited-Edition Gravée Main

Since 2021, Louis Erard has been redefining the boundaries of Métiers d’Art, from Grand Feu enamel and guilloché to wood marquetry, and soon, gold wire inlay. Now, Gravée Main opens a new chapter, paying tribute to one of the oldest crafts in watchmaking hand engraving.
Gravée Main represents a new milestone in Louis Erard’s Métiers d’Art series. This limited edition of 99 unique timepieces places hand engraving at center stage, with every metal element entirely engraved and finished by hand, a meticulous process that requires more than 50 hours of work.

Introducing Farer Unveils Three Hands Series III

The British brand expands its time-only collection with three new editions

British watchmaker Farer Universal expands its foundational Three Hand collection with three new editions, unveiling the Three Hand Series III. Known for its masterful use of color and a design language that feels both refreshingly modern and respectfully classic, Farer introduces a trio of watches that showcase intricate dial textures and enhanced case construction. The new Alert, Venture, and Aurora models represent a confident step forward, underscoring the brand’s commitment to detail and mechanical excellence.

The streamlined case of the Three Hand collection measures a versatile 39mm in diameter and just 11.8mm thick. For these latest releases, the case has been upgraded with a new monobloc mid-case and a screw-down crown, boosting water resistance to 100 meters.

Crafted from 316L marine-grade stainless steel, the case balances elegance and utility, featuring refined curves and a sophisticated interplay of brushed and polished finishes. Completing this profile is a box sapphire crystal, offering attractive distortion when viewed from an angle.

At the heart of the Three Hand Series III are the dials, each combining bold colors with intricate textures to deliver strikingly distinct designs. Bringing these dials to life requires hours of craftsmanship and several meticulous processes: pressing the blank with a custom tool to create the texture, applying multiple layers of gradient spray-paint, coating the surface with clear lacquer, polishing to a high-gloss finish, and finally printing the minute track and text before applying luminous markers. The lacquer not only adds depth and richness but also gives the illusion that the text and markers float above the surface—enhancing the visual sophistication of each piece.

The Alert features a striking deep-red gradient dial with a radiating pressed texture, crisp white luminous hands, and a burgundy seconds hand tipped with Farer’s signature logo.

The Venture showcases a metallic blue crackled-texture dial that shifts from navy to electric blue, highlighted by Lumicast batons for excellent nighttime legibility. Gloss blue hands with lume and a peach-tipped seconds hand add subtle contrast.

The Aurora presents a copper-pink flinqué guilloché dial inspired by vintage salmon tones, accented with black-outlined luminous numerals and gloss black hands.

Powering the Series III is the reliable La Joux-Perret G101, a Swiss automatic calibre renowned for its precision and dependability. Delivering an impressive 68-hour power reserve and operating at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz), the movement is presented here in its highest-grade “soignée” finish. Adjusted in four positions for superior accuracy, it also features a custom rotor engraved with the Farer logo.

Each model is paired with a soft suede leather strap—grey, brown, or black—chosen to complement the dial tones. The straps are fitted with custom 316L stainless steel buckles for a refined finishing touch. The new Three Hand Series III models are permanent additions to the collection and are priced at USD 1,150 (approx. AED 4,225).
