In Collaboration with Art of Time, Celebrating the Beauty of the Caribbean Islands
DOXA has long shared a special bond with the Caribbean, a region that reflects the brand’s passion for diving, water sports, and the spirit of leisure. In collaboration with its longtime retail partner Art of Time, a family-owned jeweler in Philipsburg, St. Maarten.
DOXA now unveils the SUB 200 Dune the second exclusive collaboration between the two companies. Limited to just 100 pieces, and available only at Art of Time in St. Maarten, this edition pays tribute to the island’s landscape, where golden sands meet crystal-clear seas.
Inspired by DOXA’s heritage diver first introduced in 1967, the SUB 200 Dune builds upon the brand’s legacy of underwater exploration. Recent developments in the collection include the introduction of models with steel bezels, further broadening its design appeal.
Staying true to the collection’s specifications, the watch features a 42 mm stainless steel case measuring 13.80 mm in height. The case showcases brushed surfaces accented with polished bevels and is equipped with a screw-down crown, ensuring water resistance of up to 200 meters. Topped with a domed sapphire crystal, the watch retains the brand’s signature short, sweeping lyre lugs, a hallmark of DOXA designs from the 1960s. For this special edition, the unidirectional bezel is fitted with a black sapphire insert and a luminous 60-minute scale rendered in sandy-beige Super-LumiNova.
In a first for DOXA, the solid steel screw-down caseback carries a laser-engraved map of the Caribbean with a striking twist: the sea is rendered in vivid blue using laser-induced oxidation, a permanent treatment that brings the ocean to life.
The dial, which gives the watch its “Dune” name, comes in a sandy gradient with a unique sand-grain texture, shifting between sun-bleached taupe and warm bronze tones. Applied indices and hands, executed in black and filled with beige Super-LumiNova, ensure legibility day and night. A date window at 3 o’clock adds practical functionality, set against a clean white background.
At its heart beats the automatic Sellita SW200-1 calibre, a reliable movement widely used across the SUB 200 collection. Beating at 4 Hz, it offers a 38-hour power reserve.
The SUB 200 Dune is delivered on a stainless steel “beads of rice” bracelet with a folding clasp and dive-suit extension. An additional black rubber strap with a pin buckle is also included.
Limited to 100 numbered pieces, the DOXA SUB 200 Dune is priced at USD 2,090 (approximately AED 7,675).
