The New Patek Philippe Twenty~4 7340/1R Perpetual Calendar

Introduced in 1999, the Twenty~4 collection was Patek Philippe’s first dedicated line of feminine timepieces. The original model featured an Art Deco-inspired manchette (cuff) design, but in 2018, the brand unveiled the Twenty~4 Automatic, which is a round-cased iteration powered by an automatic movement. This year, Patek Philippe elevates the collection further by introducing a perpetual calendar complication, marking the collection's debut in the realm of Grand Complications.
Crafted entirely in 18K rose gold, the watch features a 36mm case with a slender profile of just 9.95mm, making it sit gracefully on the wrist. The case is meticulously finished with a combination of polished and brushed surfaces, enhancing its refined aesthetic. Two dial options are available. The Ref. 7340/1R-001 features a silvery opaline dial with a vertical satin finish, evoking the texture of shantung silk that feature irregular texture, while the Ref. 7340/1R-010 presents an olive green sunburst dial for a more contemporary appeal.

Introducing De Bethune Unveils The DB28xs Steel Wheels

A new, slimmer, and more elegant size that showcases the brand’s art and engineering

De Bethune is a horological pioneer renowned for pushing the boundaries of traditional watchmaking. Their watches often feature a distinctive design language, marked by bold, asymmetrical shapes and complex displays that blur the line between art and engineering. A standout creation, the DB28 Steel Wheels, launched in 2018, exemplifies this avant-garde approach. The timepiece showcases its intricate movement through an openworked dial, anchored by De Bethune's iconic delta-shaped bridge.

During its participation in Geneva Watch Days 2024, De Bethune launched the DB28xs Aérolite, featuring a mesmerizing meteorite dial. However, the brand had yet another surprise up its sleeve, as it also unveiled the DB28xs Steel Wheels. This new creation transcends the concept of simple miniaturization, offering a fresh reinterpretation of the iconic DB28 Steel Wheels in a more compact format. With a case measuring just 39 mm and a thickness of 8 mm, this remarkable evolution reflects De Bethune's commitment to contemporary watchmaking.

The watch features a polished grade 5 titanium case, paired with De Bethune's patented floating lugs that naturally adapt to wrist movements for enhanced comfort. Its dial is protected by a sapphire crystal with double anti-reflective coating, while the power reserve indicator is visible through the sapphire crystal caseback, which also benefits from the same anti-reflective treatment.

The openworked dial reveals a polished titanium base, highlighted by a circular brushed titanium ring for the hours and minutes, along with blued titanium hands and indices. The dial also features a titanium bridge with sandblasted and polished chamfered contours, enhancing the watch's architectural appeal. At 6 o'clock, you can spot a titanium balance wheel equipped with gold weights.

The watch is powered by the Calibre DB2115V13, an in-house manual winding movement that operates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz) and offers an impressive 6-day power reserve, thanks to its twin barrels. The movement also features a silicon escape wheel for enhanced precision. The watch is paired with a textile and leather strap, secured by a grade 5 titanium pin buckle, and is priced at CHF 82,000, equivalent to AED 355,000.
