French Limited Edition, A Tribute to 35 Years of Racing Passion
Mille Miglia, the famous Italian endurance race, started in 1927 but suffered several interruptions and cancellation during World War II and after several fatal accidents. However, since 1987, the race from Brescia to Rome and back has been consistently organized annually in May, and Chopard has been supporting Mille Miglia ever since.
Chopard, a brand synonymous with luxury and performance, has always maintained a close relationship with the automotive world. Since 1988, the brand has been associated with the iconic Mille Miglia race, and has developed a dedicated collection of racing chronographs. This year, Chopard unveiled its latest creation, the Mille Miglia Classic Chronograph French Limited Edition, celebrating 35 years of rich and passionate history with the world of motor racing. The watch will be presented during the Salon Rétromobile in Paris, this watch is a vibrant tribute to the French national colors and the spirit of motor racing.
The Mille Miglia Classic Chronograph French Limited Edition stands out for its unique design and impressive technical characteristics. With a 40.5mm case diameter and 12.88mm thickness, this watch is designed for comfort and elegance. The case, crown and pushers are made of Lucent Steel A223, an exclusive alloy, offering captivating luminosity and 50% greater durability than traditional steel.
The silver tricolor dial, with its circular satin finish, features the characteristic retro typography of the Mille Miglia Chronograph series. Arabic numerals and indices with Super-LumiNova Grade X1 ensure optimal visibility, even in low light conditions. The design incorporates Tri-compax layout, small seconds subdial positioned at 3 o’clock, 12 hour counter at 6 o’clock, and 30 minute counter positioned at 9 o’clock, all accented with pops of bright red, perfectly complementing the Mille Miglia logo.
The case back is equipped with a sapphire crystal, and there lies a COSC-certified ETA A322-11 base automatic chronograph movement, pulsating at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz) and providing a power reserve of 54 hours. It is embellished with intricate decorations such as perlage, Côtes de Genève, and blued screws, seamlessly blending precision with aesthetic appeal.
The Chopard Mille Miglia Classic Chronograph French Limited Edition of 100 pieces is priced at 9,600 USD which is equivalent to 35,300 AED.
