Louis Erard Unveils the Limited-Edition Gravée Main

Since 2021, Louis Erard has been redefining the boundaries of Métiers d’Art, from Grand Feu enamel and guilloché to wood marquetry, and soon, gold wire inlay. Now, Gravée Main opens a new chapter, paying tribute to one of the oldest crafts in watchmaking hand engraving.
Gravée Main represents a new milestone in Louis Erard’s Métiers d’Art series. This limited edition of 99 unique timepieces places hand engraving at center stage, with every metal element entirely engraved and finished by hand, a meticulous process that requires more than 50 hours of work.

Introducing Zenith Unveils the Chronomaster Sport Meteorite

An elegant release with a grey meteorite dial

Zenith etched its name in Swiss horology in 1969 with the creation of the El Primero, the world’s first automatic high-frequency chronograph calibre capable of measuring 1/10th of a second. This milestone cemented Zenith’s reputation as a chronograph pioneer, earning the brand more than 2,300 chronometry prizes and leaving a lasting mark on the watchmaking industry.

Among Zenith’s core pillars, the Chronomaster Sport has emerged as the brand’s most iconic modern chronograph. This year, Zenith expands the line with the Chronomaster Sport Meteorite, originally a Japan-exclusive model, now introduced to the global market.

The watch is housed in a 41 mm stainless steel case measuring 13.6 mm thick, finished with a mix of polished and brushed surfaces and fitted with pump-style pushers. A fixed black ceramic bezel engraved with a 1/10th-second scale frames the dial. Both the front and back are protected by sapphire crystals, with the latter revealing the movement. Water resistance is rated at 100 meters.

The dial is cut from grey meteorite, each piece uniquely patterned with the Widmanstätten structure created by the slow cooling of molten iron in space. No two dials are identical, making each watch truly one of a kind. Zenith’s signature tri-colour chronograph counters, silver, light grey, and anthracite with a snailed finish, add further distinction. Rhodium-plated indices and hands are filled with Super-LumiNova C1, while a discreet date window sits at 4:30.

Inside beats the El Primero 3600 calibre, the modern evolution of Zenith’s legendary chronograph movement. The automatic mechanism runs at 36,000 vph (5 Hz) with a 60-hour power reserve. It features a blue column wheel, horizontal clutch, and a stop-seconds function for precise time setting. Through the sapphire caseback, the openworked rotor adorned with the Zenith star can be admired.

The Chronomaster Sport Meteorite is fitted with an integrated stainless steel bracelet secured by a double-folding clasp, and comes with an additional black rubber strap with a matching clasp. The price is set at CHF 16,900, approximately AED 77,200.
