The New Patek Philippe Twenty~4 7340/1R Perpetual Calendar

Introduced in 1999, the Twenty~4 collection was Patek Philippe’s first dedicated line of feminine timepieces. The original model featured an Art Deco-inspired manchette (cuff) design, but in 2018, the brand unveiled the Twenty~4 Automatic, which is a round-cased iteration powered by an automatic movement. This year, Patek Philippe elevates the collection further by introducing a perpetual calendar complication, marking the collection's debut in the realm of Grand Complications.
Crafted entirely in 18K rose gold, the watch features a 36mm case with a slender profile of just 9.95mm, making it sit gracefully on the wrist. The case is meticulously finished with a combination of polished and brushed surfaces, enhancing its refined aesthetic. Two dial options are available. The Ref. 7340/1R-001 features a silvery opaline dial with a vertical satin finish, evoking the texture of shantung silk that feature irregular texture, while the Ref. 7340/1R-010 presents an olive green sunburst dial for a more contemporary appeal.

Introducing Zenith launches the Defy Skyline chronograph Boutique Edition

A new release with a grey dial and elegant gold accents

In 1969, Zenith unveiled the first high-frequency automatic chronograph movement, El Primero. This movement represented a major development in the watchmaking industry. The El Primero continues to be a major advancement in chronograph technology and has been featured in many Zenith watches. It is prominently incorporated into the Defy Skyline collection, which highlights various models utilizing this movement. Now, Zenith unveils the latest edition of the Defy Skyline collection, a new color watch exclusive to the brand’s boutiques.

The watch comes in a 42mm stainless steel case with an octagonal design and a 12-sided bezel, creating a visual contrast through its alternating polished and brushed finishes. Angular chronograph pushers with broad, flat surfaces flank the screw-down crown, which bears Zenith’s five-pointed star emblem, positioned at 3 o’clock. The dial is protected by a sapphire crystal, and the The movement can be followed through the case back, which is also made of the same glass. The watch offers water resistance of up to 100 meters.

The dial features a slate grey sunburst pattern with engraved four-pointed stars in gold and applied hour indices. The chronograph design includes a tricompax layout with subdials for small seconds at 9 o’clock, a 60-minute counter at 6 o’clock, and a 60-second counter at 3 o’clock, all engraved with a snail pattern. The design details are highlighted with distinctive gold accents, and the date window is located between the 4 and 5 o'clock positions, along with all six hands. The chronograph hands have red tips, while the hour, minute, and small seconds hands are coated with Super-LumiNova for enhanced readability. Additionally, the twelve-sided flange has printed indices with a 1/10th of a second scale, tracked by the central hand adorned with a Zenith star at its end.

The watch is powered by the El Primero 3600 automatic chronograph movement, operating at a high frequency of 36,000 vph (5Hz). This advanced calibre incorporates a silicon escape wheel and lever, enhancing both precision and durability, and offers a power reserve of 60 hours. Renowned for its high-frequency capabilities and precision in measuring 1/10th of a second, the El Primero 3600 also features a star-shaped oscillating rotor.

It comes with an integrated stainless steel bracelet and an additional black rubber strap and steel folding clasp. It is priced at CHF 12,900, equivalent to AED 54,200.
