The new editions of the brand’s iconic square case watch with a sporty and modern look
Union Glashütte is a distinguished name in German watchmaking, a brand that embodies a tradition of meticulous craftsmanship and modern innovation. Union Glashütte is renowned for its precision and durability, qualities that are crucial in motorsport. These traits are exemplified in the Noramis Chronograph Sachsen Classic 2024, a timepiece inspired by vintage racing aesthetics that seamlessly blends performance with classic charm.
One of Union Glashütte's standout modern releases is the Averin Chronograph, first introduced in 2008. Its square case and striking dial design set it apart from the brand’s other models with its bold look and unique display of the date. Now, Union Glashütte has expanded the Averin collection with two new models featuring either blue or black dials, adding a fresh, sporty touch to the line while maintaining its distinctive appeal.

Just like the previous variant, the watch measures 41mm in both width and length with a thickness of 15.45mm. It features a stainless steel case, available in brushed and polished finishes or with black DLC coating. The watch is equipped with rectangular chronograph pushers and a corrector at the 10 o'clock position for the date. Sapphire crystal adorns both the front and back, while the timepiece is water-resistant up to 100 meters.
Comparing the new release with the previous model, the primary difference lies in the dial. Both the blue and black variants feature a stunning embossed pattern. The small seconds subdial is positioned at 9 o'clock, while the 30-minute chronograph counter is at 3 o'clock, accompanied by a date window at 6 o'clock. Each dial stands out with its square designed counter, and applied markers. The dial is completed with Super-LumiNova coated sword-shaped hands, while the chronograph minute and central seconds hands are lacquered in red.

The blue variant comes with a blue leather strap with hole design and is priced at EUR 3,300/AED 13,500, while the black variant is equipped with a black textile strap, priced at EUR 3,500/AED 14,300. Both models are secured with a stainless steel butterfly clasp.
